  1. One the last three post covid SS cruises, we have always managed to get a ressie in La Dame and other restaurants that need a ressie's. We book it the day bookings are open.
  2. Regarding the house wines, I find them drinkable. We usually get one or two bottles on the premium list. One bottle will last us for two dinners. House wines first and then the premium wine with the main course.
  3. Our experience recently on the Moon and Dawn, Is that on informal nights, some restaurants require men to have a jacket (take it off when you sit down- some people do that) and some restaurants do not require a jacket for the men. Since most restaurants are on the cool side, I find wearing a nice sports coat to be very comfortable.
  4. Nope. RSSC has released their 2025 and part of 2026 cruises. I have reserved two of them as their prices on these two cruises seem reasonable. When SS 2025 & 2026 cruises come out, I will look at them and decide if I want to keep the RSSC cruises. I do notice that RSSC does offer more interesting pre and post cruise programs than SS. I have about 65 days on RSSC and have not been on their newer ships nor since covid. I am looking forward to checking out the new RSSC product.
  5. D2D does not usually include a pre hotel but does include transfers.
  6. Friends of Dorothy- the gay community.
  7. We have also had very positive results using the SS Air. SS cost to upgrade to Bus Air is still very reasonable but wow, the airfares are really skyrocketing now.
  8. Great idea Elaine. Which Nova cruise are you on this year? We are on 8-21-23 Venice to Rome and then 11-18-23 NYC to Bridgetown and both on the new Nova.
  9. I think you are right, Lois. There is an emergency number to call for day of travel problems. I have used them before and they were very helpful and got things straightened when there was a sudden strike on SAS. We also have been very happy with SS Air and getting upgrades to Bus Air. Maybe the title of this subject could be changed to the positive things the Air Desk does???
  10. Darn- It only applies to cruises booked AFTER 6-1-23. I have 5 cruises currently booked. Oh well!
  11. Just remember the "Golden Rule'. They that have the ships, make the rules!
  12. Just give the taxi driver a big tip. That's what I do on short rides.
  13. Thank you for the input as I am not surprised. If it is too good to be true, it probably is not true.
  14. I tried doing a search regarding this company on this website but did not find any results. With Business Class airfares going through the roof, I have been trying to find other options. Even the upgrade to Business Air with SS is really getting up there. If you want to upgrade on a cruise to Asia or Australia/New Zealand the add on above coach is $7,000 each person or $14,000 for us. I ran across a website called airbusinessclass.com and their prices are way less. I also found good reviews. Has anybody out there used this company and they are NOT a travel agent so this request should not break the rules. They only sell business-class airfares. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks.
  15. There are many TA's that will give you a "gift" of between 5 and 10% of the total cruise package. That can amount to a fair amount of change!
  16. Somebody on the forum asked if I had to pay a deviation fee and I assume they were referring to leaving two days early. I did not pay a fee.
  17. I did not get charged a deviation fee either. Also, I really like the flights that the SS Air Desk got me out of Tucson AZ. So far, post Covid, we are 3 for 3 on SS Bus Air on getting great flights and connections.
  18. Two nights for $1340 for two. I know that is expensive but I wanted the transfers etc. That does include breakfast each day .
