  1. I very much appreciate reading your post. Obviously to me, you know more about Dance as an art form than I do. Is "Dance" like some forms of "Art"? Some "art" leaves me "cold". What's the message of that piece of art is a question I ask myself when I view it. Your comment that "Dance is a universal language" is probably true for those who understand that language. If this Dance Company's performances appear during my next cruise, I will attend. I will try to learn to understand this language.
  2. I think you made a good decision for you. I am glad that you are satisfied with doing so. I have absolutely no interest in making the same decision. It is the responsibility of the company from whom I am buying a product to supply me with the information that I desire. It is the responsibility of the cruise lines to supply the needed deck plan information for their prospective guests.
  3. I have yet to figure out the schedule for when the ships will be in port. A current Cruise Atlas would help.
  4. Barnacles on the hull sounds better than saying the ship has a mechanical issue. Most likely with an Azipod don't you think?
  5. I will post my question again. Why didn't the "suits" for Celebrity make the decision weeks ago to do this drydocking? Marine growth on a hull or Azipods does not happen overnight. Agree, a cancellation for such a reason would sharpen my disappointment if I was affected.
  6. Test needed before flying into US from Canada, but no test needed if you enter the US by bus. This makes no sense whatsoever. In my opinion, just as ArriveCan makes no sense. Just more "let's make rules because we can make some rules". Does help to keep some government bureaucrats employed, I suppose.
  7. 😀 I was seated in the middle section (1-2-1 configuration). My seat mate seemed to be business woman who was intent on doing some work during our flight. I did get the feeling that I was a distraction at times for her when trying out all of the features of that seat.
  8. I appreciate your explanation of this! I have noticed air leaking out under the cabin door when I would be in the hallway, but, never thought anything about it. That would be a safety factor for the guest in case there is a fire aboard and smoke in the hallway. Thank you!
  9. That's a new excuse for such an issue that I have not read before. If marine life growing on the Eclipse's hull was going to be an issue for this season, then, I think, a very legitimate question needs to be asked for the "suits" in the Celebrity office suites, why was this not properly expected and resolved? Propulsion issues causing a reduction of speed? Not unusual.
  10. Then, will we on that bus tour have to wait for those who are "late arriving" because of ......? 😀 A time limit is a dumb business model, in my opinion. It's "all you can eat" or it is not.
  11. My tour group booked Economy Class flights which were, even at that time, much more pleasant than any United States based airline were offering. A complete lunch from Chennai to New Delhi; a complete dinner from New Delhi to Mumbai. Jet Airways was the company as I recall.
  12. As the President of the United States Senate at the end of the debate on a Bill says: "All in Favor say Aye. All opposed say No." The Ayes appear to have it. The Ayes do have it. The Bill is passed."
  13. The "youngins'" among us who would never consider shipping luggage will eventually learn that one does not stay in the same physical condition forever. This has been a difficult "truth" for me to learn in the last 2 years.
  14. They are rare in my experience. I was very surprised when I boarded a Delta 767 that was configured into a Delta One interior for a SFO to DTW flight. Daytime flight, so I didn't use the lie down bed feature. But, the service was Delta One quality service.
  15. I have never purchased travel insurance sold by any cruise line. When one reads the details of the policy and compare those details with policies sold by reputable companies, there's quite a difference. I have had to make medical claims a few times and have always been reimbursed for the expenses that I claimed. But, it was easier to do with some companies other than others. The company with which I had the most difficulty was being sold by my travel agent. I have learned to trust her and her agency. The insurance company was one with which I had not dealt, but, it was a well known international company. I was "lazy" at that time and opted not to contact the insurance company that I had previously used. I had issues with the company after I filed my claim. Finally, my claim was paid, but, my travel agent had to act in an ombudsman role to get the claim paid.
  16. Wonderful memories! The tenders were unique in themselves. Housed and launched by cranes from the deck at the front of the ship. Little Norway 1 and Little Norway 2: do you remember if that was their names?
  17. Is my memory correct? This was a Lounge located very far down in the ship's interior. During my first two cruises on Rotterdam V, I don't recall attending Tea. Probably was available, but, probably my traveling companions and I were out on deck using the deck chairs that we had reserved (and payed rent to use). We booked two sets. Chairs on the deck near the Swimming Pool; chairs in a sheltered and at least partly covered area of a deck. The nicest of those were on the deck aft of the balcony level of the Ritz Carlton Lounge. Some shade with a view overlooking the pool and the stern of the ship. Was it needed on the Bremen to rent deck chairs?
  18. HAL's Pinnacle Class ships have a few. I think that are a few that have been installed on QM2. Not sure if QE or QV have any. Maybe the newbuild--Queen Anne (?) will have a few. Agree with you about Ron Don and Harley Davidson, but I do enjoy visiting Senior Frogs whenever I can.
  19. How do they regulate the time period? There's a whistle at the start of the 45 minutes and another one at the end of the 45 minutes?
  20. Excellent suggestions, Don! I forgot about the market; never knew about the Alaska Native Medical Center and its art exhibits or gift shop. I had heard about the shuttle to the Native Heritage Center, but it was not operating when I was there.
  21. Thanks for your answer. No quibble by me with the difficulty of trying to write the "needed" information on those Immigration forms for either of our countries. And, then, having the Inspector at the Port of Entry barely, if at all, look at the information on the form. Pardon my cynicism, if you are able to do so, but, it's one more bureaucratic requirement that keeps some of your citizens employed as well as the same does in the United States.
  22. No experience with the App; my "App" is to write down on a small piece of paper the times/locations of the events I want to try to attend and stick that piece of paper in a shirt pocket. Some do use the "tear off" section of the When and Where and take that with them; I have done so as well.
  23. If you feel intimidated by the programming that you read in When and Where, please don't consider a cruise on Princess with their daily Princess Patters or on a MSC ship with their daily program sheets. The variety of daily activities that When and Where offers is considerably less than what other cruise lines offer.
  24. Do you then remember sailaway? 😆
