  1. The only time reservations are required or recommended is if you are with a large party and want a table for 6 or more. They will try to accommodate you as not many in AQ want to share a large table with others. Having a table for 2 is one of the reasons we like AQ. When dining in a land based restaurant does any ever request sitting with other diners? There are a lot of opportunities to meet others on board the ship and personally I have met many at the bars and waiting in line that we have become friends with. Friends being traveling to visit them, texting, phone calls and being on other cruises and etc. Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  2. There is a canopy set up on the dock that offers free cups of water, and a iced towel Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  3. We used the Elite Plus benefit of 4 cards for the price of 3. When buying the at the cashiers window the cashier took one card and did something on the computer and then said this card is a winner. We weren’t drawn to be a contestant and I think it it better not to be. We ended up winning $400 cash on that card by matching 6 numbers. My wife claims he did something to the card. I said he was just making the charge to our account. Coincidence?πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ We also won some smaller amounts that were for casino play. There weren’t many playing and it was held in Celebrity Central. Neither person drawn to play won much money. One did win a cruise but said it was about worthless. It was a 3 night Caribbean cruise in a inside cabin. I seen her later and she said they wouldn’t be using it because of the available dates and the travel cost involved. 4. I would recommend getting about 4 towels from the pool area to take back to your cabin to line the chairs on the balcony. I leave them folded over to help soften them up a little bit. The towels also help with other things that they may be needed for. I will use one as a exercise mat and to stretch. I also use one to stand on when getting dressed when I don’t have my shoes on. 5. On the Alex and Edge we didn’t spend much time in there. For us the loungers weren’t as comfortable as those on the S class. They are also directly under a slanted window. During the day they are mostly in the sun light. My wife and are fairly nimble and for us it was a little difficult getting in and out of because they are close together and also because of the slanted window not giving much overhead room. It could be a challenge for those that aren’t. As another posted the rooms are rather senseless. One has a salt block, another a crystal rock, and a heated room. In the Caribbean I can sit on a outside deck and get the salt, humidity, and heat. I don’t need to sit in a uncomfortable room. Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  6. The other is β€œI understand”. My response is β€˜No you don’t understand. If you did you would take care of the issue.” Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  7. Another thing to consider is that the availability of β€œpremium” drinks. We just got off of a B2B on the Equinox. We we in a SS. The premium wines seemed to disappear during the cruise and weren’t available on the next. Supply issue was the excuse. I am a bourbon drinker. On the Apex in Mar Woodford was available. On the Equinox they wasn’t any to be found. Supply issue. The only bourbons were those that were covered in the classic package. Supply issue There were also other spirits in the premium list that weren’t available. Supply issue I wonder why there weren’t any supply issue with those in the classic package ? Being a suite that had a premium pack included I got nothing better than a classic offering. Didn’t get what I paid for Something to consider. You can read many post about the so called supply issue on the spirits Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  8. But you aren’t the target. They want that other crowd. Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸŒ…πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
  9. I have sailed on 6 cruises this year on Celebrity. I look at future cruises and the prices are increasing and that is understandable as everything is increasing In price. My issue is on the quality of the food, and the liquor and wine selections have also decreased on a linear scale during those 6 cruises. It is bad enough that the prices are really increasing but don’t charge for something that was promised and don’t provide with the excuse of it being a supply problem. The supply problem is an excuse for Celebrity not wanting to supply it to cut cost. Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  10. My observations and based on Caribbean cruises The early shows are usually 30%. The later shows are more crowded. Since most are frequent passengers they no longer want to see the same lame production shows that haven’t been changed and won’t attend. I am one Some guests entertainers are good and could warrant seeing again but for the most part they are constant repeats. Don’t need to see again. The crowded party showing the younger crowd could have been a special party for the crew. This happened on a cruise we were on. The pool deck was closed to the passengers for a crew party. It is like the photos in the brochures glamorizing the cruise experience showing the young dressed to the nines dining and drinking. I have never seen that many younger passengers on a cruise other than the crew or it may have been a staged event for the video. On our last cruise the atrium was full of β€˜old” people participating in the silent disco. They were in the atrium, on the stairs and along the upper decks. It was the same for the moon party. The pool area was packed with the old folks. It is marketing but the old folks are those paying the bills and the younger generation isn’t interested in cruises and most can’t afford it. If they can afford it there are other places that are more attractive and desirable where they can spend their money without any restrictions. EX. They can go to any bar and purchase real premium spirits and not be told it is a supply issue. We were recently. it is nothing for them to buy a bottle at a club paying $1000, smoke weed, doing drugs and having free for all sex. Won’t happen on X no matter how hard they try. Too many restrictions to attract that crowd. Why go on a cruise when you have South Beach? Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  11. It will show up. Don’t worry about it it doing a B2b talk to the. C host and it will be upgraded if needed. Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  12. Thanks for the follow up. Great to know that your marriage and life has been filled with happiness. Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  13. We did a B2B2B in the same SS. We had different butlers and cabin attendants for each cruise. We were told that they are moved around to give each a turn in a different area. Contrary to belief the best don’t serve the higher end suites. It depends on what area they are assigned to. The reason they get moved is because of the location on the ship. Those closer to the elevators are easier than those further away. The size of the cabin also affects the work load. It is more work to do a Royal and Penhouse suite than regular veranda. The same with a Butler. In some areas they may have 10 cabins and another a few more. They may also change because their contract is up It is best to tip extra before the last night as you may not see them. On one cruise we were planning on giving a gratuity to the BT in the Retreat Lounge on the last night. We went there and the BT wasn’t there. They were in medical. The next morning we gave the envelope to the Retreat Host and requested to forward it to the BT. Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  14. If you put in on a receipt it goes to that server, or BT. If you put in on a general extra gratuity form it gets pooled If you give a BT cash some with share with the other personel at that bar. You can witness that at the Martini Bar where they ring a bell and put it into a container I also seen it at the WCB, and Eden Bar where they have a container with tips in it. Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  15. I recently sailed on the Equinox. All they had was MM, Buffalo Trace, Bulliet, Beam, and rot gut Ten High. I checked every bar and there was nothing other than that for bourbon. Unless you consider Jack. We were in a suite and the BT in the lounge said they would check. Nothing. They said it was a supply issue. We drive to FL from MI and stop at many Costcos and Total Wines. They all had plenty of Woodford, and other higher end bourbons that X use to carry and were included in the premium package. My local liquor store also has a ton of the same. The supply issue for Celebrity is they don’t want to supply it. The same for the wine selection. They don’t want to supply it. Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  16. Sign up for the Create and Pour I think it is where the Artist shows you how to make a easy simple sketch. You could call and ask. He demonstrated to to make a seahorse. It was very easy to do and fun. Plus the wines that was served helped a little Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  17. In Blu there is one extra table in the rows by the windows. The tables are so close that there is only enough space to change the table cloths. Some servers will treat the diners as if they are sitting at the same table when going over the menu. They will also reach over your shoulder to serve the person on the other side instead of walking around because of the distance , especially if you are sitting closer to the windows. Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  18. We also were not impressed with Ralph Harris. For the same reasons you stated. It was just asking peo-me where they were from. The rest of his show wasn’t funny. I feel asleep and we didn’t go to his late night or encore show. We did a B2B2B2b2B on the Apex. After the first week we didn’t go to any shows except for those in the Club or Eden. I also agree with room service. We were also in a suite and had room service a few times. The food was always cold, Eggs Benedict over cooked like being hard boiled and most times something was missing. It was very cramped and not enjoyable because of the small table. I don’t see the fascination. It would be better to go to the buffet and sit at a table outside at the aft, or the Eden Cafe sitting outside for something different than Luminae. We found finally found it best to just ask for Americanos every morning and maybe a muffin or or pastry before going for breakfast. There was a artist on board by the name of Michael. He was part of the show in Eden. He had a wine and drawing class that is listed in the planner or in the Elite perk paper. I don’t remember but you have to sign up. If you see it be sure to go. It is fun and you have a nice souvenir of a drawing you made Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  19. No. We do a few cruises a year and I want to every hour of it. We became Elite when they started the having the 4 perks and always had at least 3 of them on every cruise since. But If we lived close to port and cruised every month by taking advantage of cheap rates I would consider it. Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  20. Because of the privacy laws they don’t make any medical issues public On our last cruise we were 25 NM from the port and the Captain made an announce that because of a medical issue we will head back to the port. We travels 7 NM back and were meet by a smaller boat that was escorted by 2 Coast Guard security type boats. I know the distance because we followed it on the bridge channel. Never heard what the problem was or the outcome On the same cruise a male in the buffet starting screaming that he needs help. He kept screaming and finally started yelling I need some efen help over here get some Efen help. Finally security and the medical department carried someone away on a stretcher. Never heard what happened or the outcome. The only way that you would ever know is if you knew the people affected. Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  21. We recently sailed on the Equinox in a suite. Agree with you. Many nights we would order from The MDR, or just have the the always available standard filet. Tried the always available chicken dish by that celebrity chef. Once and done. Try it but wouldn’t recommend it. It was chicken. Our issue may also be because we have been in Luminae many times. The menu is getting boring and since we have tried most of the entrees there are very few that we would order again. Nothing has ever really stood out. Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  22. Blu is open every morning. The only change is the operating times between a port day or sea day. The menu is the same everyday and as it has been for ages. Happy cruising πŸŒŠπŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ…
  23. From our experience that was always a joke. We had priorities for being in AQ and also Elite Plus. Most times those lines were longer. We would be directed to the shorter lines. They use to have a special section for the Elite and above to wait in and most times it wasn’t available or we didn’t need it. We would walk past it as we were boarding the ship. There was no reason to hang out there when we could board From our recent experiences having sailed on 8 cruises out of FL in the last year and half you should show up at the assigned time. You can arrive earlier but you will have to wait unless in a suite and you can board upon arrival. There may be some exceptions but I haven’t seen any This is my experience and others may have different ones. There is no right or wrong, or sealed in concrete. Take your chances. You may get lucky.
