LIVE from the Celebration 1/14-1/21…
Knights on the Beach replied to MeganGC1983's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I was SO ticked off when I started getting those dang things in the mail! I'd pull them out of the mailbox, throw them on the ground and stomp on them before pitching them into the recycle bin. Until I realized I was throwing away 10% off cruises, Cheers, gratuities, specialty dining, shore excursions, etc. Then it didn't hurt so bad. 🤷♀️ -

I'm going to try really hard to keep up this time. I'm usually about a dozen pages behind and that makes it kind of awkward to make comments. It's only Wednesday pre-cruise week so we'll see what happens! (Sneaking back to the Princess board to read @TXTeach79 's live from Thanksgiving) 😂 -

I'm enjoying following along! We love Cooper's Hawk and belong to the wine club. It's about an hour away from us so we don't get there too often but when we do, we always have several bottles to pick up. 🙂 -

Welllll I thought we got fanny packs on the Celebration last month but turns out they're actually toiletry bags! 🤦♀️🤣 -
Our last cruise was on Celebration and I completely forgot it was check-in day until around 7:15 am. I was still able to get a 10:00 - 10:30 arrival time and we stepped onto the ship at 10:47 am. 🙂

But did she give you the wrong room numbers at the time of booking? If so, it seems like she made a big mistake. But otherwise, it doesn't make sense that you wouldn't know how far away the rooms were. What a mess!
-
So did you find this out before or after you got on the ship?

Years ago I used a TA then booked our Carnival cruises myself after the restart. I then found an amazing PVP who has been invaluable to us. When the Freedom caught on fire a couple days before we were supposed to be on it, she quickly switched us to Mardi Gras, which was nearly sold out. If I had to wait on hold with Carnival to switch it myself, chances are it may have been to late to grab a room and we would have been out of luck. All PVPs are definitely not the same though, so happy I found a great one.

Here's the part of the policy that applies in the OP's case. Where minor guests can be booked in relation to relative or guardian: Guests 12 and younger If the relative or guardian insists on booking separate staterooms, minors must either be directly across the hall or next door. Guests 12 and under may not be assigned to a balcony stateroom without a relative or guardian (25 years of age or older) traveling in the balcony stateroom with them. Guests 13 - 17 years of age Can be separated by up to 3 staterooms from a relative or guardian (25 years of age or older). Guests 18 – 20 years of age Do not have any restrictions and may book whatever location they prefer. It seems that the infant should not have been booked in the room with the 20 year old since they were not across the hall or next door. But the OP should have known from the beginning what their room numbers were unless they booked a category guarantee. Doesn't seem like that's what happened though.

Sanferd makes an excellent Cadillac Margarita! Hey, is that Elena back there? She also worked at 820 in the mornings with Anna and I thought she was supposed to get off Celebration by now. She was saying she had two more cruises to go so I thought she was getting off last week. Just whatever you do, don't let her catch you ordering from Benchamas or there will be hell to pay. 🤣 -

Anna is our fav!! At the beginning of the week, we started out by just getting a coffee (and Pepsi Zero for me) to go. By the end of the week, we sat at the bar every morning and had several coffees, Pepsi Zero then Bloody Mary) so we could enjoy the "show" there. It was always entertaining. 🤣 -

Lili is ...... special. 😂 We saw her get snippy with more than one guest. Thought we were immune to her moods until we got too friendly with Benchamas (LOVE her!) one night. We had the audacity to order drinks from Benchamas and Lili ignored us the rest of the night. 🤣 -
I'm allergic to shrimp and only eat the chicken and steak and both are delicious. I hate hibachi restaurants on land because of my shellfish allergy, I almost always have a reaction. Never had a problem on either Carnival or Royal. Anyway the chicken is delicious. lol

Yes, they had them on Celebration earlier this month. -
OMG I lied - we also got toiletry bags. I didn't take them out of the plastic and assumed they were fanny packs. 🤦♀️🤣

We got fanny packs two weeks ago.
