  1. Sometimes, but like the state resident discount they come and go. You can ask but don’t be surprised if the cruise you are inquiring about does not have it
  2. Google “cruising ducks” for more info
  3. That parallels my understanding. The “pay only the difference” refers to alcoholic drinks certainly.
  4. As long as the reference to “power up points” appears on the website, I think they will offer more from time to time
  5. What do you get for the $35? A voucher to be given over to the specialty restaurant for a meal “paid in full” or $35 of onboard credit. The latter, as you know, will not pay for a meal.
  6. If the passenger cancels, not the cruise line, there’s a chance they would forfeit the deposit. That’s what the poster is asking, should he cancel now or wait to see what Celebrity does. I say wait at least until 330 days out from the cruise, which is when fLights could start to be booked. Hold off on the decision until then.
  7. Dinner in the main dining room usually starts around 530, the buffet opens around 6:00. There is a charge for room service delivered with the exception that you can get coffee and pastries (Continental breakfast) For no charge
  8. Since it is too soon to book air and hotels for a late May cruise, my advice would be to wait and see how this all plays out.
  9. I believe that as of right now, this is the most accurate summary of the situation.
  10. And yet, they are now bumping people off of cruises in September and October and November. Those passengers are very likely to have booked flights and hotels. Talk about late in the game to be cancelling!
  11. Thats not possible. Alaska from November until March, I don’t think so.
  12. Yes, probably random. People who booked early and people who booked late have been affected, experienced cruisers some, lifted and shifted some.
  13. While waiting for my next appointment, I decided to look over at the roll calls to see just how many people have reported being canceled. There have been cancellations on October 12, October 24, November 5, March 4, March 16, March 28, April 9 (3) One poster reported that they had six cabins booked (linked) and three were canceled Some were guarantee cabins but some had specific state rooms. At least one reported that he was elite plus. Some booked quite a while ago, others more recently And two people reported being told that the ship would not be going to Japan this year at all.
  14. Reports are starting to come in of passengers being told that their reservations are canceled on various cruises scheduled to visit Japan in March and April 2024, including this one
  15. I hand my suiitcasecto the Porter at the pier who writes a luggage tag for me
  16. Different companies, different management…..
  17. But how much wine? If one glass a day at dinner, you’re probably better off just ordering the glass and paying the difference between the classic price and the premium price. If multiple glasses a day, while you can work it out.
  18. Were you given any indication where the ship will be? Will it stay in Southeast Asia? Or will it be chartered and go somewhere else?
  19. Not what the OP was told. Something strange is definitely going on……
  20. No one ever knows ahead of time. They show up when they show up
