One small note, Royal Caribbean does not own Celebrity per se. The overarching company is called Royal Caribbean group. It owns Celebrity, royal Caribbean cruise line, Silverseas and other interests. It is confusing, but worth noting especially as we are trying to be helpful to the OP who seems to be a “Fish out of water” so to speak

Yes you start with zero points and yes your diamond status would get you elite status on Celebrity. However Celebrity does their loyalty drinksdifferently than Royal does. There will be the elite happy hour from 5 to 7 when you can order unlimited drinks from the elite menu from many bars on the ship (not in the main dining room). Also Not on the first night. It kicks in on night two. The diamond discount does not carry over to Celebrity.

The only problem I can see with joining your friends for dessert is that the table won’t be large enough for you. I very much doubt that they will let you just pull up an extra chair to a table.

Remember that on a cruise you pack once and see a lot of places. In a land tour you are frequently packing and unpacking.

Any good Travel agent would have been able to come up with all the options that Cruise Critic posters are offering, alternate cruise tours, independent tours, alternate Celebrity cruises, alternate cruise companies. If the Travel agent is “mystified” something is lacking there

Without knowing the rest of the itinerary it’s hard to say how good it is but that should be a pretty good time of year, reasonably warm.

The OP is making it look like the cruise was paid in full 204 days ahead of time but that seems very wrong, so I am guessing that was when the deposit was made. We really need more information and hope that OP comes back soon

Very good question…..do you have a confirmation of this booking from Celebrity? Is it possible that theTA never sent your deposit to Celebrity?

They usually have late breakfast until about 1130. Between four and six you should be able to find pizza and salad.
