Shmoo here Posted August 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2018 Can anyone tell me how much the transfer costs?
CruiserBruce Posted August 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2018 A while ago it seems it was $19pp, assuming you mean Ft Lauderdale airport. Taxi is $15 for the taxi, not per person. Uber is even less.
-Lew- Posted August 19, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2018 Consider taking a taxi from Port Everglades to FLL. For two or more people your cost will be dramatically less. Taking a taxi will also be much quicker and more convenient.
Diver2014 Posted August 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2018 According to my cruise planner page, it's $19pp from Pt Everglades to FLL and $29 pp to MIA. We're driving to/from the pier so we won't be using Princess transfers this time.

skynight Posted August 19, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 19, 2018 Recommend taxi, Uber or similar. Cost is under $20 for a taxi for two, Uber a little less.
hillslife Posted August 19, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 19, 2018 You can literally see the airport from the cruise port. We have always taxi or Uber. Princess transfers definitely are more expensive💰
Shmoo here Posted August 19, 2018 Author #8 Share Posted August 19, 2018 Thank you all. I just couldn't find the info myself on the Princess website. We're weighing our options for the 9 hour gap between getting off the ship and when we have to be at the airport for a late flight (even later than originally booked, since they just changed our flights 1 1/2 hours )

We're weighing our options for the 9 hour gap between getting off the ship and when we have to be at the airport for a late flight (even later than originally booked, since they just changed our flights 1 1/2 hours ) We decided to take a debarkation tour to fill in the time gap. They will be in the shore excursion area of your personalizer.

riffatsea Posted August 19, 2018 #11 Share Posted August 19, 2018 Has the set taxi fare gone up? Last time we did the port to FLL it was $11 set price.

There is no flat rate taxi at Port Everglades. (Miami does between port and airport) Hasn't been in recent memory, (8 or so years) and there are big signs reminding the pax to not accept a fixed rate. It is metered. It is metered. There used to be a $10 minimum fare for taxis to or from the port. Some cabbies tried to scam us by adding that to what was showing on the meter...it's one or the other, not both!
