Were sail and sign cards given to you during check or were they waiting for you at your room?

At check in. With the hole punched. [emoji847]

Thanks so much for your report! Making us excited for our B2B on the Magic in October. Looking forward to hearing more about your cruise. :D

I just finished a B2B, including the sailing the OP is talking about. It was great until it was just a bit too much. Had a great time but it was crowded, especially the second voyage. You'll have a great time in October.

Thanks for the review.

Yes, Carnival is one of the few lines that actually has a room full of wheelchairs. We were told by guest services not to bother renting another wheelchair - just go to guest services, they are cheaper than care vacations, et al. I'm not sure if I'd trust it 100% but for us, we have rented another wheelchair (the ones with the big wheels) to supplement what we bring (a transport chair) if we're getting off at a lot of ports (the big wheels are easier to push than the transport chair). Glad they could help you out when in need!

Great ship!!!! Very similar to Breeze, besides the décor and a few other features.

Ship was immaculate. Workers were always cleaning

Staff was SUPER friendly. Everyone smiling and saying hello.

Definitely one of our best cruises............

FYI......For those wondering.........the ships, or at least Magic, DOES rent wheelchairs onboard.

I needed one unexpectedly for the week, and it was $125. Saved our cruise.

I know I have read other posts where they said they don't, but they do. THANK. GOD!!!!!

Dr. E. was AMAZING. I don't know WHERE he gets the energy, but he was great!!!!!

Any questions, let me know.

I didn't bring home the Fun Times, sorry!!!!

Did you get to sleep with your balcony door open at night?

Thanks so much for your review. I'm pretty anxious to see the magic in person considering we've cruised on both the Dream and the Breeze (our fav) .Sorry to hear about your back, but you definatly had the right attitude about making the most of it! I hear you about the long wait , we booked our Christmas cruise for 2017 back in April 2016, longest wait for us as well. Just more time spent on;) Cruisecritic, lol. Once again thanks for the review..

We had a grand ocean suite on the Conquest last week. It was rather muggy in the Carribean and would have been very uncomfortable trying to sleep with the door open. Also, leaving the shades and/or door open significantly impacts the air conditioning for your room and other surrounding rooms.

I am going to add some more to this......

Again, if you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask.;)

We booked this cruise last September for DD's high school graduation, and it was the longest wait we'd ever had. BRUTAL. lol

DH (45) Myself (47) and DD (18)

We flew down from Hartford, CT on Friday, one day early, and stayed at the Radisson at the Port. Our room was beautiful. Two room suite, COMPLETELY updated and NICE.

We did rent a car for the day and drove around Orlando before heading to Port Canaveral. (Hertz)

Also, we lucked out, as there was a rocket launch at Nasa, and we were able to walk right out our door and see it. Amazing!!!!!!!

Had lunch and some drinks the Tiki Bar by the pool and the food was really good. Prices were reasonable for it being a hotel.

Went to dinner at Grills (not impressed) Should have gone to Fishlips.

DH returned the car to Hertz near our hotel, that evening, and then just walked back to the Radisson, as it was after hours.

Skipped breakfast the next morning and called a taxi around 10:15, and we were at the port by 10:30. Nice!

We did book FTTF.

We had a Lido Balcony on Deck 10 (10258) great cabin. Great location.

We got to the port around 10:30. Got right through security with no waiting. Got right into line for the FTTF check-in, again, no wait. And then seated in the FTTF holding pen.:'):'):') It was at that time, I decided the wheelchair onto the ship would be the way to go, and good thing, because it's a good 10 minute walk from the terminal to the lobby. Probably would've taken me an hour. lol.

Before the cruise, I had ordered some Corona's for DH to be in the cabin, decorations for DD (Bon Voyage), a cake for DD's graduation, two cases of water, and a plate of chocolate colored strawberries. Since we had FTTF, we were able to go directly to the cabin upon boarding. When we arrived, the room was clean and ready, however, none of the above mentioned was there yet. No biggie. I know it's a busy day for the stewards and we are not ones to complain. Two hours later, everything was done and in the cabin.

Dropped the bags and grabbed lunch at the Mongolian Wok (delicious as always). Explored the ship a bit. Got some frozen concoctions to help us hang on........ ;) Basically, just killing time until Muster. Muster was in the Starlight Theater (A3). Dr. E was funny as HE double hockey sticks. Changed his accent about 10x during the Muster Drill.

After Muster, grabbed some more drinks, and headed back to our balcony to watch sail away. Pretty boring out of Port Canaveral, compared to MIA or FLL, but, hey, we were on a cruise.......

Will add more soon.....

Thanks for reading!!!:D

Thanks for the review! How much was the cab ride to the port? We 're staying at the Radisson before our Magic cruise. So you got the wheelchair before you got on the ship?

Curious to hear what you did in St. Kitts. I am going there for the first time.

We did the dolphin swim, as it was a gift for DD's HS graduation. It was amazing.

Then we just did some shopping/drinking around the port area before getting back on the ship.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but that was her major gift and she LOVED it!!!!!!

The cab ride, for the 3 of us, was about $18. We just used the 888 Cab service.

No, we didn't get the wheelchair until the 2nd day. LifeSAVER!!!!:'):'):')

Yes that is what has been stated on here numerous times.

Op was involved in a thread about this a little while back asking about it and was just curious if she got to leave her balcony door open.

It was great meeting you guys on the Magic last week... I had a great cruise (except for the rain in St Maarten, but we ended up finding a cool place on the beach with great jerk chicken so not a total loss). One thing I will add, the Cucina Capitano for $15 for dinner was an OUTSTANDING value... the borolo braised short rib is amazing!! The Alchemy bartenders were super as usual and service was outstanding. The country duo and the violin group for entertainment were great....

Long wait. Ditto. I booked this cruise in early 2016. When the summer and fall ratings came out, so I guess it was about them the cost of a Cove Balcony on the Magic for an 8 day cruise to Aruba. etc was 789.00. I put down the reduced deposit. And have put a couple of payments on it, but now........it is within 7 weeks of cruising. That cove balcony would cost us about a thousand dollars more today.

SADLY the rates for 2019 do not seem to be all that much reduced.

Every review written about the Magic has been read by Me for the last four months. I appreciate them all.

I am going to try to keep a journal and post my impressions. I am a Carnival Cheerleader so probably not much bad.

I will post on:

Trivia

Shows

Casino

MDR. Lido. We do eat at the specialty restaurants

Don't drink so not that

Do drink coffee and buy cookies

Do shop on ship for gifts

Do take excursions. Always Carnival

Cabin

Storage

Movies and TV

Service is pretty much always excellent

Those are things I have checked on.

Thanks to EVERYONE who took the time to write a review. They are invaluable.

Glad you enjoyed your cruise. We are booked on Magic for next year.
