Is there a water taxi from the port to the town? I thought there was one.

Hmmm. Been there a few times but don't remember a water taxi.

There is one in St. Maarten but it's noisy and crowded and we always just walk the 15 minutes on the sidewalk past the port shops.

There's a water taxi between cruise ship terminals - Seraphine and Carenage. La Place Carenage is in the center of town, while Pointe Seraphine is a bit away from it. Your cruise ship could dock at either location, so depending on where you need to go, you may or may not need to use the water taxi.

Just returned today from cruise on Reflection. St Lucia was a bit of a joke to be honest. Port Serphine closed for major dock refurbishment, which meant Carenage was way overcrowded with pax from Reflection and Adventure of the seas, which was fortunate to be docked at Carenage. Tendering operations from Reflection were a bit of a shambles given limited pier space. Not impressed at all!

Eclipse current sailing make a last minute change St Lucia to Martinique because of dock repairs.

The town is pretty much right there depending on where you dock.

Be careful walking around there.

I seem to remember a water taxi that goes to the beach between the Pitons. But that was several years ago.

Check out the Captain when we visited St Lucia last week. It appears the was first visit and they plan on building a new pier. We loved this Island and the ships tour was great.

We are on the Silhouette and now docked in St. Lucia. The Queen Mary is anchored offshore and tendering people in to the pier behind us. The presence of the Queen Mary may be the reason that the Eclipse had to change its plans yesterday. Three large ships would likely overload shore capabilites here.

All our St. Lucia stops have docked at Pointe Seraphine. Our last time in St. Lucia was 13 April 2017. Yes there is a water taxi that will take you from Pointe Saraphine across the harbor over to Place Carenage.
