dolittle Posted February 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2018 We have been watching the Olympics and it seems like all the cruise lines are buying a lot of ads . The usual suspects Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity (I like there new ads B.T.W.) and even Princess who does not buy many ads . What do you guys think of them I like Xs I think Royals are getting old and I did not think much of Carnivals. Have you noticed a lot of cruise line ads we have at least here on the east coast. Rare mom says Posted February 14, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2018 I assume you are referring to ads on American TV? I can't speak to any of the other countries that may be home to CC members, but I've not seen any cruise ads on the Canadian TV channel that's covering the Olympics. What say our Brit and Aussie members?
Cruzaholic41 Posted February 14, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Carnival’s ad with Shaq is dumb. It doesn’t even make sense. The Princess and RCI ads are decent. I haven’t seen a Celebrity ad.
wowzz Posted February 14, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Olympics in the UK are shown on BBC, so no adverts at all. Lovely! Sent from my XT1032 using Forums mobile app
paul929207 Posted February 14, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2018 I thought ads where the invitation to get up, visit the bathroom, get a drink and get a snack?

Great for developing bladder control! Sent from my SM-T700 using Forums mobile app
MCC retired Posted February 14, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 14, 2018 February , every year , the cruise lines refer to as Wave Month . Seems to be the month every year ,that many book their cruise vacation . Everybody has 2018 on Sale right now . Not always the Best Sale , but many are looking to book now. January, February and March are Wave season and roughly 50% of the major cruise line's annual bookings are made during this time frame. .

ANYTHING with Shaq is dumb imho. He thinks he's funny and I can't even force myself to grin at him.
jocap Posted February 14, 2018 #11 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Not seen any in the UK, but as mentioned, the BBC doesn't have ads, as it's paid for by us... I hear plenty of P&O adds on commercial radio, plus a few for Cunard.
Velvetwater Posted February 16, 2018 #12 Share Posted February 16, 2018 I adore the Winter Olympics so watching a lot of extra coverage on Eurosport in the UK. No cruise adverts...not even the P&O one.
