rojoand8 Posted March 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2018 What do these wrist bands look like that people say you use to unlock the doors? Are they like the ones they put on you in hospitals? Sent from my iPad using Forums
JAGR Posted March 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2018 More like a rubber watch. The center is a circle that is the "reader" to open doors, pay for purchases, etc. The strap is a small post on one end that fits into one of many holes on the other half of the strap. It's not uncomfortable at all.
h0twired Posted March 13, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Looks like a silicon wristwatch. They are dark blue in color. You can also take them on and off if you only want to wear it when you are lounging around in your swimsuit.
rojoand8 Posted March 13, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Thanks for the replies. I just know those hospital bracelets can get real sweaty and itchy. Sent from my iPad using Forums

abe3 Posted March 13, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Do you have to pay for the wristband? Does it open up your cabin door too? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare Cruisergal1208 Posted March 13, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Do you have to pay for the wristband? Does it open up your cabin door too? Sent from my iPhone using Forums Free if in YC and Aurea. $5 otherwise. Yes it will open cabin door and make charges for purchases on board. You still use your card to going off and coming on ship. mom2tcdx2 Posted March 13, 2018 #13 Share Posted March 13, 2018 If you have purchased the drink package does the link through the app on the wrist band know this? Didn't know if staff charged the drink if it just came up as a zero dollar amount?

Rare Beamafar Posted March 14, 2018 #15 Share Posted March 14, 2018 Does anyone have a pic of these? Sent from my iPhone using Forums Here's a pic of one (from YC on Meraviglia) showing the info that's displayed on it We found them to be more hindrance than helpful and, on a port intensive itinerary, a bit of a waste because (as another poster has already commented) you still have to use your cruisecard at security. 1fifthavenue Posted March 14, 2018 #16 Share Posted March 14, 2018 if you want to use the waterslides you get a band like the hospital ones which are horrible!
Rare steamboats Posted March 14, 2018 #17 Share Posted March 14, 2018 They work pretty well for the thermal area (there you can lock the locker using the wristband), at the pool / slides or in the fitness center - especially all those places you never know what to do with your card. steamboats
mom2tcdx2 Posted March 14, 2018 #18 Share Posted March 14, 2018 We used our wristbands to pay for drinks. Sent from my iPhone using Forums You say you used it to pay for drinks, but what about drinks from the package that you aren't paying for. Do they scan the band and it tells them which drink package you have?

Do they scan the band and it tells them which drink package you have? Its no different than handing them your card... same information is in your wrist band which is on the bar code/strip on your card.
