Is a 1:45 flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Montreal too early

The Emerald is due to dock at 7:00 AM. Are we cutting it close for a flight back home to Canada at 1:45?

You'll be fine with the 1:45pm flight as long that there is no "huc ups" with customs or the ship is not coming in late into port. Cab fare is about $15.

Thanks. All our other cruises we took a 4:00 flight and we had to wait for hours. Not that I mind spending a few more hours in the sun :D

The last two times we have disembarked at FLL we made a 1015 with time to spare by doing self-disembarkation.

 

A taxi is less than $15.

You should be thru security at the airport and pacing the floors long before your plane leaves. Wished my flight from Lauderdale left that soon but I don't leave until after 3 pm.

Any flight after 10am is fine as much as my experience shows. Cab fare from the cruise terminal to the airport (FLL) is around $15.

Our flight to Toronto leaves FLL at 11:20am the day we disembark. We'll likely do self checkout just to be on the safe side.

No - If you book through Princess, a direct flight to Montreal is at 12:15. So you will have no problem with an even later flight.

Plenty of time fellow Montrealer, I usually book the 12 p.m. flight back home.

I booked us on a 3:30 pm flight out of FLL, but after we found ourselves at the airport by 9 am (and we took our time since we were scheduled for such a late flight), we managed to squeeze into the 10:30 am flight. Our original flight was delayed by weather and left almost two hours late so we dodged a bullet there. You should have no problems making your flight, as long as you avoid any customs issues.
