Ft. Lauderdale 11:00 AM Flight (Makeable?)

We are booked on Allure of the Seas January 30 - Feb 6th. Will we be able to make an 11:00 Flight for our return home? It's 50.00 Cheaper than the 12:30 Flight. Will we be taking too much of a chance with the 11:00?

You should be fine. The ship docks early. They will have your flight info as well and should put you ahead of some with later flights.

You'll be fine. If you are really worried, you can do the self depart, where you keep your luggage and walk off before they start calling colors. We do that and it works out well.

Bug18, I hear the airport is very crowded on Sundays; due to all the passengers on the ships trying to fly out. Was your wait thru security that long or ran fast?

Best piece of advice someone on here gave us about FLL cruise terminal was to grab a porter and let him whisk you and your luggage through customs and right to a waiting cab.

Twice on the Oasis and both time we were at the airport before 7:00 AM. Just do self debarkation and grab a taxi. All will be fine.

As long as you do express walk off with your luggage, and get off early, you should be fine. It's a quick 10-minute (or less!) taxi ride to the airport. But, as another poster mentioned, there are really big crowds at FLL airport on the weekends due to the number of ships returning. So don't dawdle, and you should be fine.....;):)

Should be fine just be up and ready to go. There is always a line to self embark with your luggage just get there and get in line. Once they ok ship to let you off line goes quick!

Just off the Oasis this past Saturday. Did the walk-off self debarkation. Walked off around 6:45AM and was at FLL before 7:30AM. In plenty of time for our 10AM flight. No problem!!

We didn't do self assist but our number was called around 7:15. We were at the airport by 7:45 trying to get on the 9:30 flight with no luck. We had to hang around till 11:45. They will ask what time your flight is and give you an early number to get off the ship. No problem there. :D

Is it just Oasis that has this, or all ships? I am on Navigator in March and would love to bypass the long wait in the theater.

I just booked a 10:25AM flight because it was nonstop. I plan to use the self debarkation option of the Allure. How early can one grab something for breakfast? I was hoping to get a little something to eat before heading off.

Having cruised many times, we say you are shooting dice. All cruise lines recommend a flight after 12pm.
