Hell, I just like the buckets.:D:p

When my husband bought a bucket of beer (it looked like the white plastic one on the far right of the picture), I mistakenly thought the bucket was OURS. I was planning on taking it to Labadee for the kids to use as a beach toy . . . but the cabin steward took it away! If you want to keep your bucket for use later in the cruise, don't leave it out in the room!

Just be aware if the bar servers think you've had too much they will cut you off. I've seen it done.

I think they really need the mini-keg that you can strap on your back. It appears a bit odd, to me anyway, for someone to show up for dinner toting their bucket o'beers. There is just no room on the table for the bucket.

Just ask for the Champagne bucket to put your beer in

So...including the refilled bucket, you can get 16 beers. So much for the anti-smuggling crowd's argument that Royal Caribbean doesn't let you buy booze on the ship to take back to your cabin because they want to prevent excessive drunkenness. I think the average person can get pretty smashed on 16 beers. I may have to re-think my whole smuggling plan...although I did manage to get a six-pack of Amstel Light onto my last cruise in my suitcase.

16 beers for 67.85, sounds like a bargain!

I asked RCCL (UK) regarding this matter and if the deal was available on Independence and the fantastic Lesley Green at RCCL got the answer to the question:

The correct prices are:

$38.95 for 8 bottles with the cooler and also the refill is 8 bottles at retail price minus 25% discount when the guest presents the cooler.

That's the info straight from Independence for the UK folks out there!

Sailing tomorrow! Can't wait!!

I guess you may see some idiot trying to sell one on ebay.

Why would someone be an idiot for trying to sell one on E-Bay?

Heck, I could sell some of them casino free spin key chains on E-Bay.:)

Now, If someone bought one of these items on E-Bay, they might fit into your aforementioned club.

Hi,

Was on Explorer last week and our awesome bartender Andrew in the crown and kettle told us about this deal. I was being a smartass asking him about the bucket-o-beer and he brought the bag out.

Its a soft, cooler bag with a shoulder strap and built-in handles. he loaded it with 8 beers and ice. the initial cost was around $40 with the gratuity and the refills are around $30 with tip. its an awesome deal, and we carried it with pride as we seemed like the only ones with it. my brother was the one to buy it and we took turns refilling it.

Has it been confirmed that the coolers can be used on future cruises for the refill price? Would be nice to have on a B2B.

That's what I was told, but we all know how that goes. It's a brand new program, so we'll have to wait for a CC member to buy it and try to use it on another cruise. We'll see.
