As usual we went to the Normandie Dining Room at approximately 6 p.m. The host asked us if we wanted a booth with Joel and Rizal again, our answer, absolutely!

Tracy had Lobster Bisque, Barbecued Whole Cornish Game Hen, Grand Marnier Souffle and Cappuccino Pie for dessert. I guess that sushi didn’t ruin her appetite after all. I had my usual 3 starters again, (2) New England Lobster and Crab Cake and Lobster Bisque. Then for my starter, Panko Crusted Jumbo Shrimps and for dessert Grand Marnier Souffle. Mitchel had Lobster Bisque, BBQ Baby Back Ribs and Warm Chocolate Melting Cake.

We gave and extra tip to Joel, Rizal and our favorite bar waiter Hery. Even tho we were not in Hery's section he would always come over to say hello. Plus when we were in the lounges and we were not drinking alcohol or soda he would bring us ice water, without even asking for it.

We though Saturday night's food in the MDR was absolutely was the best meal

we had on the Pride. And thats saying something with a meal at David's and other really

great meals. Perhaps Carnival wants the final dinner to be special so you'll come back.;)

Great food porn pictures as usual Mike.

I believe those are pink marshmallows. I was just on the Glory and they were offered during the Chocolate Buffet. I was curious when I saw them and was going to get some when I read the sign for Pink Marshmallows.

Thanks for the info. :)

DH LOVES that bbq'ed cornish hen and he (claims to) HATES chicken. When he ordered that I almost fell off my chair. He said it was DELICIOUS. Love this food porn and it was extra great that you posted the menus, Mike. I'm pretty sure I know exactly what I will be having for my dinners in May! ;)

All I can say is WOW! Thank you so much for this review and the awesome pictures. We sail on the Pride 4/17/11. Have sailed her sister, Miracle, twice and will again in July. LOVE spirit class. It was really great seeing the different decor from ship to ship. Although, I really like Frankenstein's Lab on the Miracle!

Hi Mike, thanks again for the great review :) Love all the pics, especially the food porn and the menus. Is it crazy to be "planning" my meals 206 days in advance?? ROFL :)

How did you find out about the free galley tour? Do you know if a free galley tour is available on all ships? on Valor? This will be our first Carnival cruise and I would love to try the tour, especially a free one, LOL ;)

- Liz

PS - 1 month down...hope it's flying by to Tracy's return! :)

Thanks Karen, I have yet to try the BBQ cornish hen, too many choices. I guess I'll have to keep cruising until I've tried everything. :D

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. The free galley tour is usually on the last day around 3 p.m and is listed in the Funtimes. I checked my Funtimes from our Valor cruise and they do have it. :)

Hi Mike:

I hope you do cruise the Miracle. It is our favorite ship, especially out of NYC! If you enjoyed the Galley tour, I think you would really like the "Behind the Fun" tour. I can't recall if you did that on you B2B2B2B! Thank you for another wonderful review! I "almost" feel like I'm just back from a cruise!

After dinner we went to the casino with the left over change we had from doing laundry ($8). Tracy started playing this quarter machine ( I think it was her first time gambling, other than Bingo) she quickly went ahead $1.50 and she wanted to quit. I convinced her to have fun and keep playing, well as expected she lost it all and afterward she kept telling me I told you I should have quit.

Our teammates from ‘Carnival Quest Game’ we got their E-mail address so we could send them our photos but somehow I don’t think they received them (wrong e-mail address). Hope they read this because I would still like to send them the photographs.

After dinner we headed for the Taj Mahal Lounge for the evening shows. The first thing we did was play the ‘Triviathon on the Big Screen’ It involved naming cartoon characters, now this is one category we have some experience in, we did after all bring up two kids. We got 30/40, not bad, we may have gotten a few more if Mitchel, who probably just stopped watching cartoon a couple of years ago, had been with us.

Next was the ‘ Liar’s Club’ which is similar to the board game ‘Balderdash’. Jaime was the host and Chas Elstner, the comedian, was a special guest along with three other Carnival employees. The way the game is played is Jaime gives the panel a real word that most people have never heard before and with this word each player must submit a definition. Now for each round, one of the panelist was given the real definition prior to the start of the game and the other three must come up with a definition that at least sound plausible. Then each player must say the word out loud and give their (made up or real) definition to the crowd. At the end of each round Jaime asks the crowd who they think gave the true definition by a show of hand and then the real definition is revealed. It’s a fun game to watch and even more fun to play (Balderdash) at home.

After the game, we sat through Bingo and then it was ‘Carnival Legend’ starring your fellow guests. All week long, cruisers who auditioned and were chosen for a part, gets to sing on stage, with the band, in front of a large crowd. One by one, they come out in costumes and sang songs by famous artists like James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Elton John, Britney Spears, Madonna, Garth Brooks, Ricky Martin, Gloria Estavan, Elvis and Sinatra.

We leave in 5 days on the Pride and I have just spent the last two hours reading this entire thread. Your pictures are beautiful. I have a question about Port Canaveral. Carnival offers a round trip shuttle for $16, but you mentioned shuttles for $10. Is that round trip and is it different than the shuttle service through Carnival. We are just going to Cocoa Beach to meet up with my husband's family who live not far from there.

There is a free shuttle offered by the Ron John Surf Shack right next to the pay shuttle. Catch that one :)
