All Things Explorer of the Seas! -- Part 2

Recommended Posts

Does the Explorer have the freestyle coke machines yet? Do you happen to know if it will be receiving them soon?

TIA!!!

:D

I had read that it was going on the Monarch first, and then possibly the Allure before going to other ships in the fleet. Those machines are great...Fanta Zero Fruit Punch is a diet version of the old Canada Dry Tahitian Treat I drank as a kid.

AFAIK there are no iPod docks of any kind..

the no cal flavored water is, IMO horrible as it contains faux sugar..and i can't have that stuff...however, some of my pals loved it.....

the coke machines will be getting rolled out fleet wide up through 2013..they only installed them on 1 ship so far..

I read an article in USAToday that said guests will have to buy a special coke cup (as part of the package) to use the machine..

(if it were me, i would have made a coke card that you could buy-sort of like for the wine machines on X ships...or made it so that you could just use the seapass somehow....i was thinking about that last night when i could not fall asleep...hahaha...)

I apologize is this is a dumb question. I searched the threads and could not find an answer so thought I would just ask. We are sailing on Explorer on August 25, 2012, 5 night to Bermuda. This is a our third trip on it. I cannot seem to find the link to order our luggage tags.

I know I can get them at the pier and it's not important but I was curious, have they done away with it for some reason? I was on the Explorer in March 2012 and ordered the tags in advance but I cannot find a link under my reservation. A friend suggested they may come in the package from the travel agent but they have not come like that before. I am sure I had to order them and after a certain date they did not send them out in advance. I have been checking for a while but we are now 32 days from leaving so it may be too late anyway.

As I said, I know I can get them at the Port so I am not worried but remain curious.

Just booked my first cruise! Where can I find a list of what restaurants/events are free, and which ones are not on Explorer of the Seas? Also, this thread is a "Part 2", but I can't seem to find the Part 1. Does anyone have a link? I'm assuming this has a lot of basic information about the ship. Thanks!

Johnny Rockets and Portofino's cost money, all other dining is free.

Bingo and Casino cost money...I cannot think of any other entertainment that costs money.

I have actually heard more good things about Explorer and her and crew than any other ship in the fleet, including Oasis and Allure.

It seems that the people that love the Explorer, really love her. And that there's a lot of people that feel this way :)

Makes me really excited for my trip!! :D

We love the Explorer, have been on that ship 3 times. Just got sick of the same Islands. But it is a great ship and great crew.

Also extra (if the have it) the Mystery Dinner, special coffees. Of course spa and the game room for children.;)

Have sailed Explorer 3 times, will be back on her again in March 5, 2013 (might be same cruise as yours?) with a girlfriend and will sail her again in Dec. 2013 with DH. Did I mention that I love the Explorer, lol :D

Same here, been on her twice, fantastic cruises.

But, they should change up on the itinerary.
