I bought this yesterday:) if any of you are interested, SOMA'S sells

more than just intimate wear! Dresses too and they are having a sale:)

I love this dress.....it is not in the same genre as Maria's beautiful

formalwear but I still love it;) I need to find a shrug....thinking red for

a pop of color:)

I love that dress! A red shrug would be adorable with it...hope you can find one. Although, they are so popular now, you shouldn't have much trouble. :). lizz

Lois, if you have a Ross or CATO near you, I have seen red shrugs in both....or I found a red and black dress at JC Penneys that came with the red shrug...might check them out

Lois, that dress is adorable! Would a shrug in sapphire go nicely? You'd look good in either color.

Yes, a blue would go with it too..thanks:) but when I tried the

red one on? It looked REALLY GOOD:D

Lois, if you have a Beall's or Steinmart near you, they have lots of shrug's. Good luck.

Hi,:) too funny, I stopped by Steinmart after work today. They

had basically all black and white ones:rolleyes:....a yellow one, brown

and a couple of blue.

I will check out Beall's for sure:D

I have good news:D I forgot I have a really nice fine gage knit cardigan

here at home. It is not as short as a shrug and I really like it alot.

I would say it is plum or in the plum color family. It will be perfect:)

It is 3/4 sleeves with some pretty embellishment near one of the

shoulders....a bit dimensional....sort of like a flower but not

"too much".......I am happy:)

Love the floral details and the simplicity of the colors. Very nice!

Don't you love it when you can go "shopping" in your own closet?:D

I have a maxi dress very similar to yours and I love it. It looks good, is comfy, and will not wrinkle.

hi everyone,

for one of the formal nights on my forthcoming med cruise, i was thinking of wearing our national dress, the Malaysian Sarong Kebaya. Picture is attached.

What do you ladies think? Is it appropriate enough?

cheers,

Jo

You are making me spend money this morning.:p I liked this dress so much I went to SOMA to order it. Had it in my shopping cart and when I went to check out, it showed no longer available:mad:...not to worry, I purchased two other dresses instead, both were on sale and I received a 10% discount for signing up for their email newsletter.

Thanks Lois!

Not sure this is going to work, but here goes.

These are two dresses I'm planning to bring with me on our upcoming cruise. I'm most concerned about the teal one. It's nothing like anything I've ever worn in my life. It's much more form fitting than anything I'd normally choose. I love it, but I'm not sure it looks o.k. Neither dress is something I'd usually wear, actually, as I never wear sleeveless dresses for obvious reasons.

However, a lot of my current body problems come from having lost 143 lbs. I feel good, but am no longer sure what looks good or what is even appropriate any more. Right now, I'm feeling like nothing looks good. I thought shopping would be easier, but it's much more confusing now.

So, what do you think? Please be honest, I can take it. Should I forget these and look for something else, or are these be o.k? (Oh, yeah, I'm sure hair and makeup will help the overall look, so please try to ignore that!)

Thanks!
