I just bought this purple "silk" dress. It looks better on of course. It manages to have a straight cut without clinging in the wrong spots ;). It kind of has a retro vibe. I plan to pair it with black heels and a very sparkly bracelet and earrings. AND it was only $39. I like that I can wear it on the cruise as well as other places. :D

Thanks :D. It has a nice shine to the material that doesn't show in the pic. It's a little more simple than I usually chose, but I really liked how it fit and it's more versatile after the cruise.:)

Wore this after we left Sri Lanka. We have a Raj Ball tonight. I will wear my old dress from the last cruise.

Wore this after we left Mumba last night. I forgot to bring a black slip, I had to wear a gray tank. In person you really cannot see it.

Marie, you look fabulous, once again. I was just wondering where you were so checked your schedule last night and it looked like you were somewhere around India. Also, looks like your cruise is coming to an end with only about 20 days left.

How have you been? I miss talking with you on the phone. We have a lot catching up. I will call you as soon as I got home.

Yes, we have 20 more days left. Four days ago we had piracy drill. We now have a few Royal Navy and armed guards on the ship, also there are five small ships escort us for the next 15 days. At 5:30 p.m. we have to come inside and close all the drapes. All the upper decks of the ship be darkened after sunset. Ken is at the theater for Piracy presentation. Better be safe than sorry right?

I have just booked my first Transatlantic cruise....I am beyond excited!!! Leaves New Orleans on April 15 arrives in Barcelona on April 28. Have bought A LOT of clothes in the last 3 months and now just need to decide what to take.......Will post some pictures later of some of the gowns that are in "the running" to be taken. Will need some opinions...

You'll love the TA! We've done spring transatlantics three years in a row. Missing one this year, but doing the Med instead.

 

Be prepared for a variety of weather! From hot to warm to coolish, and windy on the ocean.

Congratulations on your weight loss.

When we cruise, I pick only the best things to eat and never waste my time on things I could have anytime like, pizza, burgers and fries. Take the stairs as often as you can and skip the elevators. Many times it's quicker anyway than waiting for one. I usually gain a few pounds but they come right off as soon as I get home and eat like I do at home.

 

I also found that I could overindulge a bit one day without gaining but never do it two or more days in a row. Don't eat every course. I'm sure you will be just fine.:)

You have such grace and elegance! I love that you dress up every night, I plan on wearing a dress every night on my cruise. However I do not have the amount of gorgeous gowns as you! I need to start checking the sale racks, you have inspired me :)

more than just intimate wear! Dresses too and they are having a sale:)

I love this dress.....it is not in the same genre as Maria's beautiful

formalwear but I still love it;) I need to find a shrug....thinking red for

a pop of color:)
