People's least favourite NCL cruise?

Our least favorite was the Majesty, Boston to Bermuda. One of the reasons was the dining service on the ship was poor, the only cruise I have taken that I could say that. Bermuda is beautiful and the Boston pier is an hour from our house, but still I didn't like that cruise.

I love the Dawn the best and while I wouldn't say that I would never cruise the Epic again, it would not be my preference.

I've never taken a cruise I haven't enjoyed, but there are itineraries that don't appeal to me. The cruises around Hawaii definitely fall into that category - we love Hawaii, but prefer to pick an island, dig in, and just relax. Also, our favorite island is Kauai and I don't think I would be content just spending a day there. 7 to 10 days on Kauai never feel like enough to me :)

The other itinerary that doesn't appeal to me are the ones that leave the west coast of the US and go down the west coast of Mexico. I've done that route and back on sailboats and the roughness of the water left me a bit green around the gills - I'm not convinced that I'd fare much better on a cruise ship.

I have enjoyed every cruise I've been on. However the Carnival 3-day was my least favorite.

Even the one where my mother wanted to throw me overboard for bratty behavior (I was 27 years old by the way) I enjoyed.

A lot of people say that a "cold weather" cruise is not for them.

When DH and I went to Alaska we didn't look at it as a "cruise, get sun, and swim" trip. It was an amazing cultural, geologic, and historical trip for us. The best cruise we've taken. :)

I have enjoyed all of my cruises for various reasons. When I wanted to party with my SIL, i took the Jewel from NYC to FLa and Nassau. When I wanted to just relax onboard, I took the same cruise during the winter; hubby and I relaxed, ate well, plenty of casino time, no crowds. Have taken cruises where I was busy, busy, busy all day exploring new and amazing ports, and also where I didn't leave the ship at all. Have taken 2 day CTNs and 14 day European sailings. Every single one of them was exactly what I wanted at the time - that's why I booked them!

I think the only cruise I have no interest in taking is the Hawaii sailing. We have a house on Sunset Beach where I would rather just relax with friends and family, a Mai Tai and a Ted's Bakery plate lunch. I have explored those islands enough that I would never need to cruise them - plus there's no casino ;). But I am sure there are many others who haven't explored the islands and would find this the perfect way to start..

There is no "good" or "bad" itinerary, just a selection that always provides the perfect holiday for your particular needs and state of mind at that time.

I'm very surprised at all the Hawaii responses. We've been looking at that itinerary and thought it might be a great choice especially since we know that we'll most likely never get to visit all the islands unless on a cruise.

For us, we prefer not to do the short Nassau 3 day cruises no matter what cruise line we're on.

I don't get all the Hawaii haters, either. I've only been on three cruises so far (with three more booked), but of the three, Hawaii was the best. Awesome itinerary, four islands, fun excursions, and a really fun ship and crew. I definitely felt like I got the full Hawaii experience.

I can't really think of an itinerary that wouldn't have an appeal, but maybe New England. There are a lot of stops in small Canadian towns that I know nothing about.

To answer the OPs question... we too would have to say our Pride of Aloha cruise in Hawaii, several years ago, was by far our least favorite cruise. It was literally a disaster... poor service, awful food, bad crew member attitude, etc. I understand that this is no longer the case and would consider doing it again, but boy was that a bad cruise! The service we received after the cruise, from customer service, regarding future cruise credits was also unbelievable. Still makes us upset to think about it.

However, have been on several NCL cruises since then and consider them to be our favorite line.

Add Fanning Island back to an itinerary and we'll be back in Hawaii no time! I would not hesitate to take another Hawaii cruise now. They have fixed their problem in Hawaii. Go for it!

We have done this cruise three times, in fact just got off the POA on Saturday having done b2b. The cruise is just fine. Go and read recent reviews. This cruise just keeps getting better as far as service is concerned

I think Hawaii is a place that many people have gone to on a land vacation before so a cruise just doesn't have the same appeal.

I think that Hawaii cruises are amazing for people who are going for the first time. There's no way you could see all those islands for anything close to what you pay for a cruise.

My SIL also reported bad food and service on his Hawaii cruise.

Least favorite was probably Mexican Riviera, except we LOVED Zihautanejo. Next least favorite would be the Caribbean.

Favorite cruises were to Canada/New England and Alaska. Going again to Alaska in May and probably will go back to Canada/New England soon.

Even though we don't like humidity, we do want to do the POA sometime so we can see Maui, Kauai and Hawaii. My only hesitation is the lack of sea days.

Mine would be the NYC-Florida-Bahamas cruise.

Other then leaving from NYC which is very nice, the ports are terrible and the weather is bad for half the year.

There were two. The last cruise of the Majesty because we were used to a balcony and they had none. Oceanview. No. The other was the Sky to the Bahamas after we missed our cruise to Venice & the Greek Islands. It was not NCL's fault; it was that damn volcano in Iceland. We have lost all our $250 down payments.

I do not care for the Florida/Bahama cruise. It's too hard to do anything in Florida in just one afternoon. I miss the long cruises NCL had, leaving from New York in December. Our 12 night cruise was fantastic!!! I believe we are the only people on the planet that do not care for St. Thomas. We just returned from a 13 night stay in Puerto Rico, and took a day trip to St. Thomas. This was our third time on the island(1st two were cruises), and we still did not care for it. It seems the Eastern side is more popular than Western, but we love the Western. Paradise was found the moment we stepped foot on the beach in Roatan.

We loved our Hawaiicruise and got a chance to see a little of Hawaii, Kauai, Maui and also Molokai from a helikopter but now there are no seadays and we really want some seadays on a cruise.

A longer cruise around Hawaii with some seadays should be our number one choice but not a cruise without seadays.

I dont think Id like any cruise that had lots of seniors on it and the nightclub closed early ... sorry but I want to have fun and party

ROFL ok this is just way too funny :D. I love when the young, attribute the age of someone to the ability to party. :D :D

FYI all of those seniors were once young once too.

Yup, my least favorite is also the NY to Port Canaveral and Bahamas (we've also done it on Carnival from Baltimore and are actually doing that run again in May).

But, we also enjoy staying on ship at some ports so the itinerary is never a deal breaker for us :)

Agreed - I can definitely see the appeal of a Hawaii cruise for someone who isn't familiar with the islands and wants to get a taste of each. One of the things we've found interesting with regard to Hawaii is that the things that make a particular island a favorite to some are the things that make it less appealing to us (case in point: we really don't care for Maui, even though it seems to be a favorite of many people). So a cruise would be a good way to see just a bit of an island and decide if you want to return for a longer vacation.

I also think the appeal, or lack thereof, of particular itineraries has a lot to do with what you're used to. We live in a very warm climate, so we don't tend to seek out warm weather for cruises (honestly, there's a point mid-summer here in Georgia every year where an Alaska cruise starts sounding very appealing to me). My family that lives in Chicago, though, has a more "I don't care where we go as long as it's warm" attitude when planning vacations.
