Radio - we just left her this morning and leave her in good hands. This is the most beautiful ship we've sailed on.

She is gorgeous, the food in the MDR was excellent and so many choices. We were in Aqua and the jets in those showers are to die for!

Enjoy and I'm anxious to see if your observations match ours.

Enjoy her and take good care of her.

Pat

Hello everyone. . . We left Cape Liberty at 5PM promptly. . .The Captain on Silhouette (Dimitrios Kafetzis) suggested that he needed to get warm in s hurry, and he will get us to Caribbean quickly.

The winds picked up a bit as soon as we left the Pier, and I was surprised that there was no Deck Party for Sailaway. . .There weren’t many passengers on deck either, and I guess that most people were getting unpacked or maybe resting from a long travel day.

The Cruise Director, Paul Baya appears to be a very pleasant and energetic entertainer. He is a funny guy, and I am sure he will try to make sure that all passengers are happy with the entertainment and activities onboard.

I was able to grab a light dinner up in the Ocean View Café, and I really like the way the stations are set up there. It seems very open and roomy. The service is over the top friendly, and I really like the amount of choices there were up there. The Stir fry, and Sushi were very good too!

Tomorrow I will go down to the Grand Cuvee Restaurant for Formal Night.

I love the Celebrity iLounge. . .It is one deck down from me and the staff there is wonderfull. I was able to get my iPad set up with an easy Log On/ Log Off Icon, and the speeds are very fast. . . You get 20% Bonus minutes when you sign up on the firat day for an Internet Package. I am very happy with the speeds of this connection.

I had to try out Fortunes Casino for a bit, and I am happy to report that it is very “Radio Friendly”. I may be spending a few hours in there throughout the week. The machines are up to date and the dealers are helpful with passengers who may be unsure of the table game rules. I will go back down tonight for a raffle drawing and a chance to win some prizes.

After that, I will have to get some rest. . .I have been up since 2:30 this morning, and my eyes are getting a little tired. Here are a few pics from this afternoon and sail away. . .

More pics tomorrow morning, and thanks for tuning in !

Great pictures Radio. I knew you would love the great internet connection on this ship!!! I sure loved it!!!!

Funny you should mention that there was no sail-a-way party or music up on deck. The music at the pool was the one thing we were disappointed in. There was never a full steel drum band. There was ONE guy playing steel drums and he would only play for maybe an hour. But that's really about the only thing we were disappointed in. The ship was beautiful and we liked the food too.........lots of choices in the MDR as well as the buffet.

Try to have lunch at the Mast Grill a few times and don't forget about the Aqua Cafe'. They had sushi there sometimes for lunch and they will also grill you fresh tuna..........I think the menu changes every day but it's always healthy.

Visit Radio's website here: http://www.cruisingwithradio.com/

He has a picture of himself there, along with lots of info on him.

Yes, Radio, would you please post a picture of 2 of yourself sailing the beautiful Silhouette! Lots of people would like to see the man behind all the "LIVE" posts! Thanks again for taking us all along on your cruise vacation and taking all the time to report to us! We really really really appreciate it! Helps to tide us over until we can be on a ship again!

Also, I am anxious to hear your thoughts on Celebrity vs. RC. We took our first Celebrity just this Feb, and fell in love! We will be back on Celebrity next Jan. for 14 nights on Eclipse, so I will be staying tuned to all your photos and comments on this cruise on the Silhouette!

He already mentioned one , no sail away party or music its a big difference from rccl and as a matter of fact very few people on the deck even though he said it was chilly.

Great pictures Radio

We watched you sail out via the webcam and thought the bridge looked close to the ship.

Have a wonderful cruise and if you get the chance to take a picture of today's Zumba class (including my DD instructor) held in the entertainment court I'd be really grateful.

Cheers

Peter

Hello everyone. .. Good morning.

Welcome to Day 2 of “LIVE” from Celebrity Silhouette. I woke up very early this morning. .. I’m not sure why, but I guess my body just kind of has a mind of its own. I really like that the Hideaway Lounge is just a few steps away from my cabin. . .so there is always coffee that is very very close. . . I chose this morning to have some Starbucks Veranda Blonde VIA. . .I brought some with me, and it is a great 4AM wake up.

The Ocean Café opens at 6:30 for early risers, so I just walked around this morning to see what I could see. . .The ship is very quiet this early, and I’m sure that there are a lot of things going on this early, but everything is very quiet.

There are too many activities today to mention here. . .(I will post each Celebrity Today when I return) but there are a few activities that interest me including “A Taste of Silhouette“ Culinary Showcase, “Oceans Ahead Presentation” Save the Waves, and the Shore Excursion Talk that will cover all of the ports we will visit next week. There is also the Cruise Critic Connections meeting up in the Sk Lounge later this morning.

There are also a few iLearn classes that I would like to attend in Celebrity iLounge. Tonight is Formal Night, and the Captains Gala Toast will begin at 8:30 tonight. The production show “Celebrity Show Time” will also be performed twice tonight, and I heard that it is a very good show. . .

Here are a few pics from around the ship this morning. . . It was a very quiet morning so far, but the ship will come alive in a few hours. . .

More pics later today. . .
