cruzlovr75 Posted April 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2012 Our cruise has come and gone and now I feel so lost! Has anyone else ever felt like that? Like now I have nothing to look forward to, I can just look at my photos and have great memories! We did buy a future cruise coupon, so we will go again just not sure when. What to do from now till then?!

cruisenanny Posted April 25, 2012 #5 Share Posted April 25, 2012 We all understand, you have PCD:(. Start planning, but you won't feel entirely better until it is actually booked..
MrPete Posted April 25, 2012 #6 Share Posted April 25, 2012 You need to book your next one as soon as possible. Buy the Love Boat DVD and get a cruising fix as often as needed.

WiCruiseDreamer Posted April 25, 2012 #11 Share Posted April 25, 2012 Nothing to look forward to? It's just a vacation. Maybe for others it is a chance to create memories with friends and family. A chance to see someone you may have not seen in awhile. No, it is NOT just a vacation for some. Sent from my Samsung using Tapatalk
spunkie4 Posted April 25, 2012 #12 Share Posted April 25, 2012 Book another cruise as soon as possible. Works for us. there's something about having a cruise booked, regardless of how far out, that gives us something to look forward to. I know this sounds silly, but I save the chocolate and eat one daily when we return home! Shirley
laumicmah Posted April 25, 2012 #13 Share Posted April 25, 2012 OP- I am with you. In 2010 and 2011 we did a short spring cruise sans kids and then an August cruise with the kids. I was loving that and would continue with that routine but DH isn't as into cruising as I am. So, this spring I did a 7 day with my mom and DH and I made plans for us to do our family vaction in August at Vero Beach. I just wasn't all that excited about a beach trip...especially whe we have to drive from MD to Vero for only a 5 night stay. And we wouldn't have a buffet, MDR, room steward, lounges with activities, a casino.....etc. So, I made DH promise to cruise again in August of 2013. How will I ever go from 4/12 to 8/13 without a cruise? Lucky for me our Vero Beach plans might have to change (we booked it for 8/19-24 and now have something important we may need to be home for :D) and we're now looking at a cruise for earlier in August. Once I get it booked I will feel much better. So, do like me and keep searching cruises and make lists of the ones you may want to do. Happy planning and hopefully we'll both have a ticker on our thing soon.

What to do from now till then?! It's been a month and 2 days since I got off the Magic and I'm still in depression....!! I thought booking another cruise would help and it did take the sting away a little but 226 days is a long time to go without the sun, sand, ocean , red frog pub and the sound of the horn as we leave dock :( I keep thinking it will get better each day but whe I wake up and I see I'm not on a boat the saddness sets back in !!! I'm sure it will get better, in 226 days..!! ha ha :)
jsjjkelly Posted April 25, 2012 #16 Share Posted April 25, 2012 We've been home from our cruise for 2 months, and within 3 weeks of getting off I booked our next cruise. It's so far out, but a quick phone call announcing our plans and 2 more couples in our family booked along side us!! We weren't the only ones with the after cruise let down of "I'd rather be on a boat right now than here at home doing this". Shawn
BenjiRodney Posted April 26, 2012 #17 Share Posted April 26, 2012 We usually book a few weeks after returning. This is the first year we have two booked at the same time. I hope to book 2013 shortly, just paid off the Victory last night.

What to do from now till then?! Awe :( I hate that feeling there should be a post cruise help group because no matter how many times you do it you do feel like ..... lost and lonely I think you become used to good service when it comes to doing things for yourself again (regardless if the cruise was only a few days or seven or more .. you have become accustomed to a way of living you enjoy) now a question for you ... what if a future cruise coupon ... and how and when can you use it? ... i have so many questions on this i may have to start a thread on what it is as i am totally new to carnival... but any information you can give would be gratefully received :D

What to do from now till then?! [/ Nothing to look forward to? It's just a vacation. We just stepped off the Freedom just four days ago. I'm back at work and am depressed too. We keep saying "I miss our cabin, I miss the ship, I miss being on vacation, etc." We also bought a future cruise certificate, so that is the only thing I feel that will keep us going. I don't think we'll be able to go until 2013 (probably in August..so it's a ways off). Money is tight right now..I have two kids entering college this fall as freshman and the cost of it all is putting a knot in my stomach, so I cannot even think about another cruise at this time. We were lucky to be able to go on the one we just had. PCD really stinks.

What to do from now till then?! Absolutely, my husband and I feel this way after any vacation. So, it's not exclusive to cruises. What I'm really excited about? After our cruise at the end of this August we are meeting up with friends in October. These friends we met on our last cruise, 3 years ago, and have kept in touch with...no cruise, but they're coming to the L.A. area and we're all meeting up for a Disneyland weekend. They were on their honeymoon and now have an almost 3 year old. Can't wait!!!:D
