Lanyards?

Hi, this may be a silly question but this is our first time with RCCL.

 

Will we get a lanyard with our seapass cards? I like to keep it round my neck so I don't lose it.

nope....you can buy one in the gift shop after the ship sails...or bring one along...:p

I will defintley be bringing one on my next cruise.

 

At home I am fine, never forget my phone/keys/wallet. But every cruise I'm on I usually forget my seapass in the room at least once a day.

Staples has a nice selection of over the neck.

Wall mart has wristlet ones.

Vera bradley also.

Just depends on what kind you want.

Some just put it in their pocket.

Yes, but bring your own. You can get one of those with a mini wallet/zipper compartment to store cash/cards while on shore.

 

Go ahead and get a nice one and save it for future sailings.

If you have one around you, has a great smaller size and thin, even with a zipper compartment in the back to store a CC and drivers licence or other similar ID and even a couple of bills.

I have been approached by many cruisers asking about it and could have sold many, Maybe next cruise, I will buy them at $3 and sell some at $6 LOL.

Just put it in my pocket during the day or rely on DH to purchase my drinks at night - never felt I needed a lanyard. We are together most of the time!

Thank you every one. My wife is going to take her work lanyard with her but I will splurge on a RCCL one in the gift shop I think!!

I know some people like them, but the lanyards don't go too well with the jewelry. jmo

we got ours at hobby lobby, you can get six in a bundle for less than 5.00. Black, Blue or Red are the colors and they're thin, not like the ones you find at a sports shop. when we got on the ship, tons of people ask where we got ours. their not heavy either. like one said, go to guest service as soon as you board and they will punch the hole. have fun :D

if you use the slots that track your play with the sea pass. I was constantly leaving mine in machines until I got a lanyard. I use one that I have from a land casino.

NYC street vendors where I got my mini commuter wallet on a string. We also have lanyards from various events and trade shows.

Lanyards are fine to keep SP onboard but I wouldn't want to wear it onshore during excurison or tours, etc. at most (if not all) ports - like it's flashing or advertising that one is from the cruise ships ... come take us for a "ride" (taxi to town via the long way, etc.) Try one of those with retractable cord that can be clipped to clothing or belt, hidden & out of the way.

It was expensive, but I love it and it is SOOOO convenient for cruising to carry my Seapass, ID and extra money and a credit card when we are in port. It is one of my favorite purchases for myself.

Sue - I keep seeing you on the same boards I am reading. :)

 

You aint kidding - at the price of the VB luggage I'd rather do another cruise each year. :eek: LOL! I buy my Vera when I have a coupon or they are having a REALLY good clearance sale (I actually bought a cosmetic bag that matches my lanyard pattern for $11!!!).

Do you have young children? If so, you can get a lanyard for free from Ocean Adventure. If they don't offer you one while registering your child, just ask.
