Ah............... nothing like free wifi. Hi from SFO airport. Someone wanted to know about disembarkation, so this is our story. We had tag RED 1 which was first off. They started at 8:40, we were off in a flash, located our bags immediately and were on the transfer bus by 8:55. Buses were loaded by airline; in our bus Southwest, Delta and US Air only. Only 1/2 bus and we departed 9:05. At airport and luggage unloaded just before 9:30. Princess has this down pat. Only 2nd time I have used their airport transfer (other was in Singapore) and have every intention of doing it again. Cost $58 for both of us.

Dee: see if you can locate a copy of current Reader's Digest. There's mention of your city in there as being in the top 10 for "sharpest."

Tracie: you know I'll be doing a LIVE. That's a given. :)

Lostatsea: Hope that weather holds for us. Weather here in SF this morning sunny and warmish. Bus driver said they expect rain tonight and all day tomorrow.

OK. signing off again. See you on the Coral. :D

Star is suppose to leave late tonight due to something needing some repair, don't have any idea what it is but scheduled to leave around 8 I was told

I thought I saw what looked like a Princess ship during a blimp shot during the NLCS last night and thinking shouldn't she have left already?

Good Morning from SF. If I have some minutes you know I need to use them. Nippy morning here, but no wind. Already had breakfast and back in cabin to finish last minute wheelie packing.

Jumping in to add my thanks for your LIVE posts. We board the Golden for Hawaii on Dec 5. Hopefully, you'll start a new LIVE post for your upcoming Panama sailing, as we have made that trip many times as well. Would love to sail along with you! :)

Congratulations on winning one of the Wake Show drawings! I also wanted to let you know, at least my wife and i were allowed to order from the main dining menu several times during the cruise. It was nice to be able to do so, my wife just wasn't into doing any of the formal nights so we dined in room.

Pia,

Thanks so much for your live report...I truly felt like I was with you..well almost!

Also, how wonderful to be going home and then going on another cruise in a week. That makes disembarking so much better! Also, I see you will be going on another cruise in Jan.!

Oh how I wish we could cruise as much..we get to sail approx 2xs a year. You are one lucky lady...just keep doing your live reports and I will be cruising along.

Hope you are winning in Vegas! Look forward to reading your reports on your Panama trip.

Again, thanks for taking the time from your cruises to post such entertaining and informative posts.

hello Pia

reading your "Live" gave me a glimpse at all the stuff we did not do while afloat! we pretty much watched movies, napped, read, and visited the casino. we came out ahead... not by leaps but happily, no poorer.

it was nice meeting you and putting a face to the name. it was cool to find we have TJ's trail mix in common!

now... please advise?

I have searched and do not find any mention of unused Coffee Cards. Tim and I each bought one and used it for a daily cup of brewed coffee. for specialty coffees, we used Tim's card and there are six punches left. my card is unpunched and new for all intents. we have no plans to cruise in the next year. any suggestions?

OMG :) a suite! Enjoy, enjoy! Just kidding about the $5! Jack loves the slots and always plays lots more than a 5. Good luck and hope y'all win.

On the SA tour, Mary Ellen asked about the wine package on Princess. Was that offered on the Star?

Thanks!

Pia, Great thread! Thank you so very much.... we are booked on Star NOv 20 (holding my breathe till we get through some health issues that cropped up - hate it when that happens!)

Question: I see you got an early disembarkation time. We'll need one too for a noon flight. How does one get the earliest group off the ship? Thanks, and hoping those "7s" come up for you in LV, enough at least for another cruise:D!!! m--

Saw them today and did send regards. That'll be the day that Princess gives us a suite. Enjoy your trips.

Princess will send a form for you to fill out asking about airline, flight and number and time. It specifically says they will not transfer anyone with a flight time before 12:15. Obviously we had no problem early Sunday morning. If your flight is actually at noon and want their transfer, you will have to lie.

As always, thank you for taking the time to do a "Live" while you travel. Having been to Las Vegas many many times, if you threw the same amount of money around on Princess that you had too, to get a "Free" suite with everything, Princess might even name a ship the "Pia Princess" :D
