The root of the Spirit's charm lies in its heritage...originally christened as the Star Leo for tenure in the Far East.

Maybe it is just the angle with which you took this picture, but the ship in this drawing looks like it is about to tip over.

I'll be sailing aboard the Spirit in September for the Grand Mediterranean itinerary from Venice to Barcelona. I was alread very excited because of the itinerary. After seeing your beautiful pictures, I am equally excited by the majesty of the ship.

 

Everyone describes this 12-night itinerary as arduous, due to the long consecutive days in port. But I will do my best on our two sea days to soak up the charm of the Spirit. Thanks again for sharing! :)

Ah, good times, good times. My husband and I sailed our first cruise on Spirit for our honeymoon. I love that ship. We are sailing out of NOLA again and would be on Spirit in a heartbeat if she still sailed out of that port. Here's the link to our photos (sorry for some of the duplicates).
