The usual porridge,no lunch, cold salmon fillet and salad

Yesterday saw the arrival of Frantic 36,Julie and Keith

We met them at Heathrow with two vehicles and our driver, one for the luggage and the Phantom to take them to The Corinthia Hotel.

We then did some Jermyn Street shopping followed by a lovely lunch at The Goring Hotel and enjoyed sitting outside in the garden square.

You're sounding exactly like the bleedin' private hire company I use in Devon, although they use new Mercs rather than the antiques you like to run ....:D

Asked him how he was going to handle 6 of us out for a boozy curry and he said rather superiously " Don't worry Jeff, I'll drive one and my driver will drive the other!" Sounds a bit similar to me!

I hope you're not charging your visitors full rates! ;)

Crikey Lux, I had forgotten you were meeting Julie, I'm sure you are entertaining them well, if l recall you had many eateries set up which will be lovely.

Any chance of 'lending' me your driver in October for my transfer from the city to Sofitel at Heathrow..;)

Have fun

S:)

I might have sacked him by then:D

Actually Julie liked him,he's ex Royalty Protection.

I might export him to Aus.

You won't replace him:eek:

So tell us about your garage down at Lux Towers!:D

How many cars does it stable?

I have seven here at home

They're only bits of metal but Mrs Lux is a very capable driver and knows what she likes.

I have phases of interest in them, some days I can't get enthused.

We like comfort and all the extras but we also have sporty ones with uncomfortable suspension.

I like wine and cuisine more and hand made suits, shirts and shoes.;)

Jeff, do keep up, he has a phantom and a ghost....one of which would do me very nicely in October thank you....

S:)

Julie got the Phantom naturally.

Birthday at Claridges on Thursday,,Julie and Keith joining us for afternoon tea

Then dinner outside.

Now that I do not eat a lot and have lost weight I think ill struggle to do justice to the tea and dinner.

Really? I'm surprised at that....although having said that l guess it's good job for them in semi retirement.

Trevor was my favourite as we were born in the same town.

Sophia:)

Most ex job guys look for something to supplement their pension and some take full time security jobs in fact the head security at Claridges is ex Royalty

Some go to corporate positions and some move to the country and take up fishing.

I'm really looking forward to your visitors telling us about their visit to Lux Towers, as you are so modest about talking about your gaff!

When are they visiting your pile Lux?

:)

Neither of us will be posting about private dwellings on here

I wouldn't ask anyone about those things on tinternet ;)

Very true Lux....being ex job myself ( my later career) l know of many that have done this.

Head of security at The Dorchester is one of the same, lovely guy.

With all the posts.

Hi Spin,

Good to see you back, hope you've had a great time.

Retirement is wonderful as long as you keep busy doing nothing! ;)

Good morning to the Cooler Gang!

Thanks for all your help with English possessives. I'm going to start using them and see if anyone notices.

I'm eager to see what's for lunch today. Or dinner, I guess. I think I'm about 10 hours earlier than most of you.
