This was a fabulous cruise.

Right from the get go I was impressed with the beauty and cleanliness of the ship.

Everything was sparkling, shinning and the entire time on the cruise it remained that way. :)

Arrived at 11:00am walked right through security and check in, no line at all.

We walked around the ship to check out some of the different decks and then right to the Mast Bar for our first cocktails.123 Drink package definately a plus.:p The sun was shining, it was warm and this was the start of our beautiful cruise.

Our stateroom was ready 1:15 PM

9th Deck – Midship on the bump, right off elevator, behind Game ON,

Veranda stateroom. Service was impeccable.

Mustard drill 3:30

We went to the Sunset bar for the Cruise critic meet and greet.

Shows: Good to very good. Favorites were Sin City Comedy, Reflection “The Show” this one was like Rock of Ages/Cirque du Solei, & Ryan Joyce -Magic

Dining: Dinner 8:30pm seating

Opus Dining: Very Good, favorite meals, shrimp scampi, lobster, veal, strip steak, French onion soup, Chocolate Lava cake, cream brulee

Wait staff excellent.

Oceanview café: Very Good, favorite meals, tacos, Chinese food, pizza, grilled eggplant, bolognese sauce with pasta and meatballs, cold turkey salad.

Mast Grill, good hamburgers, hot dogs and fries.

Aqua Spa Café: chicken salad my favorite

Room Service:

Prompt with a phone call before they knock on your door. We ate breakfast on the veranda several days, pot of coffee, OJ, croissants, Danish, eggs, home fries, bacon & sausage, fresh fruit.

Favorite bars: Mast Bar, Martini Bar, Sunset Bar.

Activities

Zumba 2x a day, dance classes on pool deck and in the main foyer

“So you think you can dance” Contest in the main foyer.

Texas Hold Em on sea days 4 x a day

Never found it a problem to find a chair around the pool area in or out of the sun.

Poolside music always enjoyable “ Miami DJ”

Grand Foyer Music before & after dinner “Vibes” party band

Ports of Call

We did our own excursions.

Puerto Rico –least favorite, next time I would skip this port, or stay on the ship.

St Thomas, Beautiful, we walked off the ship took an open air taxi to Magen's Bay

$8.00 / person each way + $4.00 entry fee into Magen’s Bay. Stayed 4 hours,

Rented lounge chair for $7.00. Got there before it was crowded and left before the crowds going back to the ship area. Then we shopped in the nice area right by the ship.

St Martin- Most favorite, we walked off the ship, took the water ferry over to the great bay area, took a private taxi, $8.00/person to Orient Bay, got dropped off by Bikini Beach, great location, rented 2 lounge chairs with umbrella $20.00 with server all day for drinks. The water was the most amazing water I ever swam in, warm, wavy but not rough, crystal clear Caribbean blue.

Restaurant has food but we didn’t eat there, free WIFI. Nice clean restrooms.

Stayed 5 hrs, got taxi back to ship $7.00/person,

No need to take water taxi back, taxi dropped us off right by the ship.

We shopped in the area right by the ship.

The two at sea days are really a nice way to relax.

Disembarkation:

We were the last group to be let off the ship.

You have to be out of your stateroom by 8:00am, so we went up to the Oceanview café for our last breakfast, then we had to go to our designated area, the Theatre to wait for our luggage tag number to be called, we waited approx 40 minutes, but then when we went down to the baggage claim and customs and we walked right through with hardly any wait.

February is a great time to get away from winter, I would love to make this an annual vacation. I always like to try new things but would definitely consider doing this same cruise and this ship again.

Right after the Muster Drill you said you met with the cruise critic meet & greet folks at the Sunset Bar. I'm assuming that was the Roll Call Sail Away generated event.

When and where did they hold the Cruise Connections Party? In the past it was usually held in the Sky Lounge. When we sailed Reflection in December they held it up at the Sunset Bar. We were all disappointed because you couldn't hear anything, even with the mics on. You couldn't tell who was who in the zoo because there were lots of other folks who were not affiliated with the Roll Call or the Cruise Connections Party. It was a terrible meet & greet.

Same for ours in a Nov. There was no way to meet and mingle:D

So happy to hear you had such a great time. We will be on the ship in 11 days!!! Very ready to get out of this snow filled winter for a week!!

Glad to hear doing your own thing in St. Thomas and St. Martin was easy, this is exactly what we plan on doing. One question...how late did you get to the pool? I have been considering renting an alcove so we don't have to deal with the pool chair problem but it sounds like it wasn't one.

Last year we felt exactly the same way...we love to do different things but we had such a fantastic vacation we booked the exact same cruise this year!

Our Feb 8th rollcall group said to meet at the sunset bar at 3:30 thats where we meet our group, some wore beads so we could find each other, the Celebrity CC meet and greet was the next day at 10:30am in the Master Cellars but we were not able to attend that because we had plans with the other people we were traveling with.

About the pool seat? one day I went up to the pool deck at 7:30am and I had the pick of just about any chairs, only a few people were up that early, we usually got up there around 10am and always found lounge chairs in the sun and in the shade, if you want to be right by the front row by the pool then you have to go early but if you just want a chair anywhere we went different times 10 ,10:30 we always were able to find somewhere to sit.

Chair hogs were out by putting towels on many chairs but if after a 1/2 hr noone returned you can move it or ask the staff to clear out area. The area on the 16th deck was often empty.

Thank you for the info. We don't care where we are just as long as we can lounge outside. It will be so nice to be warm again. I can't wait to get out of here for a week!!!

CAbin 9221 by any chance? Your description sounds like where I will be staying in November, 9th deck, hump, elevator, game on etc..
