Family Friendly FLL Hotels close to port/airport

We are flying in around noon on a Friday for Saturday Oasis departure. We fly into FLL airport. Prefer no rental car since we will be there less than 24 hours.

 

Family of 4, two kids 9 and 5. What hotels in the area would you suggest? Preferably close to dining we could walk to for dinner.

 

I'm leaning towards Embassy Suites on 17th, because that's a chain we enjoy because of the breakfasts. (DH and kids are big breakfast people) But I'm not familiar with the area at all. First time in FLL.

If ES is too steep for your budget there are several other nearby hotels in the 17th St./downtown area of FLL.

Embassy is close to a bunch of family friendly restaurants like Carabbas and Duffys.

Check rates for Hyatt Place north on valuetrips.com if ES comes in too high for you. Same area so restaurants and stores in walking distance. A cab to the port from either will run about 12$ or so.

Agree...Embassy Suites is also our favorite and a great location. We'll be there again in 6 weeks.
