Pre-cruise hotel recommendation?

Trip Advisor shows 1896 hotels in Fort Lauderdale. From motels to the Ritz, there is every hotel type you can imagine. You will certainly receive "We stay and..." and "We like..." for many of the hotels, but a little guidance from you regarding budget, plans for the day before, dining preferencs, and lifestyle will dictate where to start.

Happy sailing,

Jenna

Agree with the others TripAdvisor (sister site to Cruise Critic) is where you want to start

Personally in the past we've stayed at:

Holiday Inn Express Convention Centre / Cruise (on 17th Street)

Hampton Inn Downtown / Los Olas (on North Andrews)

Hilton Marina (on 17th Street)

Marriott Courtyard Fort Lauderdale Beach (on Seabreeze)

All were clean and adequate, and this is the order that I would rank them bottom to top. The Courtyard was gorgeous, and right at the beach, not far from the cruise terminal... But very expensive. Fortunately we did not have to pay full freight as we got the place on points. Overall Hotels in Fort Lauderdale are pricey.

Hope this helps,

Cheers!

We have stayed 6 times at Hampton Inn Airport North Cruiseport and have it booked again for November. They have free shuttle to and from the airport. Shuttle to the port is cheap, $5 if I remember correctly. It's clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is good - includes fruit, pastries, eggs, sausage, cereals, waffles, juices, yogurts, coffee, teas etc. It is across the road from a plazza that has several food options, a grocery store, liquor store, dollar store etc. so it's handy for any last minute purchases. For 1 night before a cruise it is very handy.

Can anyone recommend either Fairfield Inn on Dania Beach or Hampton Inn Las Olas for an overnight? We are driving in and these two hotels have the lowest price park and shuttle to the ship packages.

Thanks!

Cheryl
