They will tell you when you can pick up tender tickets however if you are on tour will be on tenders first

Still am not sure I get it. So, you can't pick up tender tickets until day of? Meaning, once they are about to dock, you can pick them up? Or can you grab a time night before? Does platinum get priority?

What counts as a "tour" on GSC? If we book hippo slide, is that a "tour"?

Love your review! Have you talked to anyone who went to Disney? Was there enough time or was it a waste of a lot of money?

I don't think there is anything "factual" about this one. Whether it is a waste of time or money is a matter of opinion. We will be doing Magic Kingdom on Veteran's Day (11/11), crowds and all because it is my 50th birthday and it's what I want to do. I'm a Disney nut and haven't been to the parks since 2010. My sons tease me and have said "so, you're going to go to MK, stand in line for Space Mountain and then get back on the bus and head to the ship, lol". Ha ha. It will not be enough time. That is a given. For me, it's not enough when we've gone to the parks for a week though so ....

When do you cruise? I can give you an update after we return if it's after our Nov trip but I'm sure I will say, for me, it was not a waste of time or money. Once we did the Kennedy Space Ctr and I thought it was a total snoozefest!

Hi Radio,

It's been fun following several of your "Live from...." reports. Glad you're having a fun cruise and thanks for taking time to do this.

The GSC pics were lovely but my jaw dropped at the pink sunrise one a little later on. Have you considered entering it in Norwegian's photo contest?:)

Your pictures are amazing. I did this itinerary in 2008 on the Gem. I have to say NCL has done a great job with GSC Too bad they don't rent cabanas for two. You even made Nassau look good! Thanks to your review I will be booking my Dec BA cruise tomorrow :)

We go to Disney often-usually once a year. Asked the kids about doing it from the ship and they all (15,7,5) said "no way". Too much travel time, too little park time. They'd rather be on the ship, enjoying the stuff we paid for knowing we'll do disney again soon.

Thats exactly the way we see it too. Went in oct of 2010 and sept of 2012. Breakaway 2014 (spent enough being in the haven and wanted to enjoy what we paid for and the less crowded ship!) we'll be back in Disney Dec of 2015. Hopefully will cruise again in 2017 (hopefully my girls will be in same age group for splash again!

Radio, thanks for your live review! It is helping my post cruise depression and extending my cruise from last week. After this one is finished, I'll check out some of your other reviews!

Radio:

Ditto everyone's thanks for posting!

We stop in Nassau every year and never get off the ship, however in January we will be getting off the Getaway,

Reason......you showed a Hard Rock in one of your pics, I collect the hats from all over the world and for some reason did not know there was one in Nassau.

Is that just off the ship in town and close to walk to?

Hello everyone, and good morning. Welcome to DAY 6 of “LIVE” from Norwegian Breakaway. I went last night to Rock of Ages . . . Wow . . . It was spectacular. The music was very good, and I really thought the acting and performances were wonderful.

Yes, it was a little raunchy and I loved it. Before the show, 3 announcements were made about young children and “we don’t want to offend anyone so if you have kids with you, now would be a good time to leave” That announcement was followed up with “ Even if you don’t have kids we will be using profanity, and vulgar comments with sexual innuendo”

Wouldn’t you think the warning was clear enough. . . Well about 50 passengers left promptly after a few choice phrases were mentioned. . . Nothing we all haven’t heard. The show was wonderful albeit a little long though (1hr 45min) I enjoyed it very much.

I dined last night in the Garden Café for the first time (after the show) it the food choices were very good (I love the pretzel rolls) The only really bad thing about the GC is that it is very busy, and it may be difficult to find a clean table. I guess that might be similar to other buffet type cruise ship venues. Tonight I will try Moderno (Deck 8). I have read the reviews and want to put the “Radio Seal of Approval” on it . . . Ha ha ha.

The morning I was up early (who would have thought?) and went down to Breakaway Casino which is turning out to be very very nice to me (Ooops, Radio Friendly.) I seem to have about 4 machines that seem to be not programmed to take my cash . . . The last comment was made with a whisper, as I don’t want to have bad luck) Shhhh. . . Let’s all be calm.

The sun is up, and it looks like we will be having a sunny day! The seas are moderate though. We are currently sailing 15 kts and we have 725 nm to go until NYC.

Here are a few pics from today . . . More pics coming today. Thanks for the nice comments, and thanks for tuning in.

I need to consume some Coffee

Your photos are really amazing....someone earlier said to enter one in NCL's photo contests, I concur.

Re: Rock of Ages, I was wondering how long it was. Thanks for that info. Did they start on time? Want to know what time to make a dinner reservation for after the show, I'm going to an early performance on my January cruise.

What awesome pictures thanks for sharing. One tip for Moderno's eat a very light lunch so you can enjoy tonight. Should go there hungry. Another tip do not eat too much from the salad bar wait for the meats. However the seafood chowder at salad bar is wonderful

I think that particular photo (entering Nassau harbor & the little lighthouse) looks like a painting! I've taken that shot many times, & mine never look like this! ;)

I think that effect is a setting on his camera. Someone else posted a photo like that and stated they were playing and testing out their new camera.

Hello everyone. . . Today was the day that all passengers wish they could enjoy. . . beautiful sunny weather. We had a mild breeze, there were a few clouds, but it was hot and sunny. It was so beautiful, that it makes you forget about the driving rain that we had earlier in the week . . . No worries . . . The outcome today was the reason I love to cruise.

I had a nice breakfast at the Uptown Bar and Grill. Yes, I know it is right above the Garden Café, but it really feels like it is different dining up there. They serve things that you can’t get below, like pre made breakfast sandwiches (several varieties) and the Vanilla and Chocolate Iced muffins are the best. I was full as a bull.

I was able to reserve a full length feature film (or a DVD, as some may call it). That way I can really watch something instead of just snoozing. The Breakaway Casino has not let me down, as I have continued to love even walking by there. Many members from our Cruise Critic roll call were there to have “Slot Pull” which was a lot of fun. We didn’t win much, bu tit was fun to see everyone again before the cruise was over.

I also tried my luck on the Ropes course on Deck 17. I wasn’t allowed to take a camera with me but it was understandable as you really need 2 hands to support yourself as you guide your way around this elevated course. I may try it again tomorrow as the Zip Line feature was close (due to high winds).

I dined at Moderno (Brazilian Steakhouse), and I am glad I was given tips on this “LIVE” about don’t eat a heavy lunch, and don’t fill up on salad. There were pounds, and pounds of beef, chicken, lamb, and pork varieties being served every few minutes. . .and I especially liked to the grilled pineapple (with brown sugar and cinnamon) It was very yummy !

Later tonight I will be heading down the Svedka Ice Bar (Deck 8) with a few friends, and I will report on that tomorrow. Is it really 16F in there? (brrrr) Maybe I should get a Shirley Temple?

Here are a few pics from today . . . Thanks for tuning in.
