Zuiderdam hhs bucket list cruise

What a cruise, the ship is beautiful, crew is exceptional an food fantastic. We a started the Caribbean sailing out of Port Everglades 10-17 and it was great. Only disappointment no sail away photos or video only one take by a loyal CC member, thanks.

 

Weather was great, hot and great. Captain Christopher Turner is one of the best and he runs a great ship. Lovely Mariners lunch, we got our 3 star pins, food great.

 

We were traveling with a group of 18 classmates and had a great time. We had 4 suites on deck 6 with open dividers so we could chat and have gatherings during the cruise, it worked great.

 

We did the dolphin encounter in Curacao and it was magical, what an experience. I would encourage anyone who has never done this to do it, NOW. Bad part, no sunscreen and I got a bad sunburn, wear a tee shirt.

 

Caribbean deck party with unlimited Margaritas ($15) and fantastic food was another special night. Eat all the ribs you want they do run out. Salmon was OK, I did not taste the chicken.

 

The Dive-In is to die for. Those hot dogs and hamburgers are great, wish I had the recipes for the sauce on the fries, so good.

 

Canal experience was great, we did not do any excursions so can't give you any help there except those who did loved it, a long day 7 hours but they are glad they did it.

 

Others who did the tram in Costa Rica loved it and saw a lot, but a long bus ride to get there and back.

 

Other than the fantastic food, ordered 2 escargot and 2 lobster tails, no baked Alaska parade on the last night, the lamb is excellent, we have only great memories to share. Any questions I may be able to answer, we stay on the ship a lot. Came home ahead with the casino $, 3 card poker. YEA..... Linda

Just arrived in Fort Lauderdale, and we did the water taxi tour today. We met a couple from Holland who were just off the Zuiderdam and they said they had a wonderful time. We also met a gentleman from Belgium who was just off Oasis OTS, and he was not so happy! Just goes to show. A beautiful day here!
