I don't recall for certain how long before sailing the manifest is to be sent to the authorities, something like 30-45 minutes before, I think. Just routine security now.

I assume you did not know what happened. Just before sailing, a parent with 2 children aboard was removed from the ship in handcuffs. Obviously, the kids would have to depart as well. There was no indication of another adult that was involved that would have allowed the kids to remain aboard.

Man arrested on the ship but they had to wait to get the two (I think) kids off the ship.
