Anywhere onboard?

No smoking anywhere inside the ship. There are locations outside designated as smoking areas. .

Copied directly from the Celebrity.com web site:

"For your comfort and enjoyment, our ships are designated as non-smoking; however, we recognize that some of our guests smoke. Therefore, cigarette, cigar and pipe smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas of the ship. Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, casino, theater, lounge, hallway, elevator, or corridor. This policy includes smoking-like products such as electronic cigarettes. Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom, nor on any stateroom veranda. If you are in violation of this policy, a cleaning fee of $250 USD will be applied to your SeaPass® account and you may be subject to further action pursuant to the "Consequences Section" of the Guest Conduct Policy. Cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase, possess or use tobacco onboard.

Additionally, there is a non-smoking policy on all components of the land tour portion of all Celebrity Cruises Cruisetour products. We appreciate your understanding and adherence."

Celebrity has one of the most restrictive smoking policies. If caught smoking on your balcony, you get a warning and may also get a $250 fine. Future violations could mean removal from the ship.

Has anyone ever seen this policy being enforced without a few warnings? It may take several days of a week long cruise to gather a few warnings.

Thanks - that is absolutely fair enough. My husband enjoys just one or two small cigars in the evening with a drunk! Health and safety more important!

You made my night:p:p. Where are you when hubby's with a drunk?;)

Is there good wifi on board and what is the cost - an important feature for us?

There is Wi-Fi on board, available in various priced packages. Hate to tell you but it is very, very slow, think somewhere between dial up and dsl.

Also, there is usually only one location to smoke cigars on the ship......

Does he cruise the martini bar to find the drunk, and then drag him (or her!) outside to a smoking area?

We are wondering if cruising is a good option for the OP. The combination of liking to enjoy a good cigar with decent WiFi eliminates nearly all cruises. However, the OP might want to consider booking a balcony cabin on a Holland America (HAL) since they are about the only cruise line that allows cigar smoking on passenger balconies. However, their internet service is really poor.

Or the newer Royal ship with the enhanced Wi-Fi, I'm sure there's somewhere on it that you can have a cigar.

We saw them puffing away on deck 4 and there is also a place to the left of the pool bar as you are looking at it and also, with your back to this bar, on deck 10 on the right near the table tennis tables.

We sat out during the day in the peace and quiet and deck 4 was our favourite spot. Trouble was, the smelly ashtrays.

Only back five minutes and have forgotten the name of the bar! Mast bar!

Well, I for one THANK YOU for writing that. I haven't laughed like that for quite a while and really needed it!

Had a good laugh at that myself!!! He'd better not be seen with a drunk in fact know he wouldn't be as it will be our 40th wedding anniversary!:)
