Cruise plans - when is spring break in your area?

Both schools and universities, if you have kids then please post the dates of the breaks. Some people like to avoid these times due to crowds and higher pricing. Thanks!

 

In my area, looks the schools are closed March 21-28.

Generally college ones are during the entire month of march and grade school ones are during late march/the first three weeks of April

April 4th in metro Atlanta area including surrounding counties. If you're cruising from POM then block out all of March and April, the hotel prices during this period are very HIGH. NOLA is high as well during Mardi Gras.

Central Texas and The University of Texas is usually Mid-March including the 15th.

You will have LOTS of families from March to May....even within States, there are many different school districts....doesn't really matter, as ship's sail full 99% of the time anyway....you can only have as many as the ship will hold!

March Break in Ontario (English public) is March 14th to March 18th.

 

We are cruise March 28th to April 1st, but chose the Sensation as it is a smaller ship. so less people compared to a bigger ship and easy to get around.

I live in Tampa, Fl and we are cruising over our Spring Break March 12-20th. Hillsborough County School District is one of the biggest in Fla so it is a popular cruise week down here [emoji4]

Here in New York the kids have off February 15-22 for Winter Recess. Then they are off March 21st-28th for Spring Recess.

It all depends on your perspective. We had some super drunk college kids on our last cruise. Luckily they tended to actually be quite entertaining but it could have easily been a big problem. As it was, my older son did learned some new things he probably didn't need to know yet.

Yes, ships sail full, but not full of kids all the time....the question was asked to avoid school breaks which typically are time periods where the ship has many more kids than non-break times of year. March - April are very heavy with families with kids on vacation from school (both elementary, high school and college ages).
