anteaters Posted September 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2016 Hi! I just read on a past CC strand that if there is only one ship (ours will be the small Pacific Princess) in port on the day of disembarking (for us that will be in Venice in slower season November), there will be no taxis there to take to the airport and you either have to have one already booked in advance or do the Princess transfer. Can anyone tell me how to find out if there are more ships that will be in Venice on a certain day? We are making our own way with public transport from the airport to our hotel but want either a taxi or if necessary Princess transfer to get us from the ship to the airport at the end. Thanks! Check the port authority for your port. Each port has one. https://www.port.venice.it/en/sailing-list.html

CruiserBruce Posted September 17, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 17, 2016 Check the port authority for your port. Each port has one. https://www.port.venice.it/en/sailing-list.html This is far more accurate than cruisett or the other websites that attempt to collect the data. trrn2016 Posted September 17, 2016 #10 Share Posted September 17, 2016 How can you find out if your ship is docked or tendered at each port? Thanks in advance!
Rare JimmyVWine Posted September 17, 2016 #11 Share Posted September 17, 2016 How can you find out if your ship is docked or tendered at each port? Thanks in advance! If you know which ship(s) are going to be in port but aren't sure which (if any) will tender, just go to the cruise lines' website and look up that cruise. The itinerary should tell you if it is a tender port.

The itinerary should tell you if it is a tender port. I have been on cruises were it was not a tender port and the ship tendered because it looked liked the fleet was in and all the dock space was in use. It has only happened twice to us so far.
