Carnival Vaping Restrictions?

Rule of thumb is just be discrete, and you won't have a problem. And then you can smoke anywhere. Even on planes. They can't set off the detectors cause nothing is burning.
Tell that to the poor ignorant sap that was caught on one of my recent flights.

LEO's were waiting at the gate and he was carted away.

Ask yourself if the risk is worth it.

Because the exhale looks more like smoke than a cigarette. Also, I don't care was someone inhaled into their lungs but, I do care what they exhale into the air I am inhaling.

Actually, you should be far more concerned about the chemicals emitted from the carpet and upholstery on the plane; the ones you breathe in for the entire flight....I know, I know, if you can't "see" it, there must be nothing there. Not.

Actually I would be a little bit careful on planes. There are some youtube videos out there proving they can set them off if you're not careful.

I mentioned that in here a couple years ago and people acted if I claimed to have 3 eyes. You're not going to know if you trip the detector in the LAV, but the crew will know. Guess I'm going to have to cruise utube for the videos.

As others have said, Carnival treats vaping like smoking. I have vaped on my last 2 cruises & in public areas followed the rules & stuck to the smoking areas. Actually at the casino bar I was asked by the bartender to move one seat over because I was accidentally sitting on the non-smoking side of the invisible smoking line by one seat. Vaping is definitely less intrusiveto others as the "smoke" generally smells better & doesn't linger more thana couple seconds, but the rules are the rules.

As for the cabin, use your judgement. It's technically not allowed, but it will do no damage to the room & unless you're caught in the act, nobody would know.

It is smoking. The electronic cigarette industry is really pushing it hard that it is not smoking. Not exactly a good track record of honesty. Electronic cigarettes are already consigned to the cancer coffin in a legal sense in my country. A matter of time before the world catches up.

How could it be smoking if there is no fire.

Before you know it, E-cigarettes will be ranked up there like the Samsung Note 7. Here's the latest news: http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/24/us/e-cigarette-explosion-video/index.html

And a case of another case misusing it, the employee witness said it was "aftermarket customized so you can change the voltage for high performances". I can't understand why people feel the need to do this. All in the name of the biggest cloud I guess

Exploding mods are due to idiots who don't understand electricity making modifications to batteries and coils that are incompatible and lead to explosive fireworks. A proper battery/coil combination will likely never explode. You need look no further than the Samsung Note 7 and the Boeing 787 to see that even highly skilled engineers can create runaway batteries that end disastrously.

The 13th definition of smoking : "to send forth steam or vapor, dust, or the like". Therefore, everyone who says that it is just water vapor, by definition, it is smoking!

That sounds like inhaler is considered smoking

That makes it sound like a child's nebulizer is smoking. It is not.

When you drop some plywood on a floor full of dust, you may call it smoke, but we know it's not. What an awful conclusion you drew.

If there is one thing I've learned after spending too many years on Cruise Critic is that some subjects will go on and on with no one changing their minds. Threads such as this one in addition to tipping, smuggling booze, dress in the MDR and chair hogs are examples.

It is entertaining though as people provide hyperlinks to push their agenda and the opposition will post theirs. It just goes round and round with no resolution and no changed minds.

I've been a vapor for over 2 years now after trying to quit smoking with no success (this statement will no doubt bring out those who proclaim they were able to quit smoking and offer suggestions). I haven't had a "real" cigarette since I started vaping. Yes, it is simply replacing one addiction for another but in my mind it's all about risk management.

One day the FDA will initiate a honest study of US made liquids (instead of the Chinese ones) and will quite possibly find there is more danger inhaling the air we breathe in modern society.

Explosions of e-Cigarettes? The idiots finding themselves on fire are the same rocket scientists who modify their devices and, more commonly, use mismatched chargers. The batteries found in an e-Cig are the same type found in cell phones and laptops. There hasn't been a single incident of an e-Cig "exploding" where the user didn't modify the device or didn't use the charger that came with it.

Cruise Critic is all about opinions, suggestions, comments, recommendations, questions, experiences, etc., yes? So it shouldn't be eye opening that some subjects go on and on in this venue.

In fact, your final three paragraphs laid out your experience and opinion quite well, although without any substantiating links, to confirm the part of your post I quoted.

Don't take this as a criticism, it isn't. Your opinions are as valuable as anybody else's. Just an observation.

It's a definition, not a conclusion. Not taking sides, just like for everyone to see them all.

So, does this include room vaporizers? The ones you put Vick's in when you or someone else has a cold? That's vapor too. I have never heard anyone, not even a doctor, refer to what comes out as "smoke". Please tell us. What is the source of this "13th definition"?
