First time in 5 years I haven't been on Eclipse this week; recognize your name Chamima. Glad to hear it's keeping it's standards.

BUT do express your displeasure that next year is the last year that Eclipse is doing 14 day Caribbean and no Celebrity ship is replacing her for 14 days. We will be moving to another line who does do 14 days then. GRRR. We are already booked for 2018 on Eclipse... taking year off this year to do Australia.. ENJOY!

Could someone on the current sailing please post the actual departure time for St. Kitts when you get there? Was changed to 4:00 but last sailing Captain Leo extended the time on the island to 5:00. Wondering if that will be the case from now on...

Thanks and continue to enjoy the rest of your cruise. Can't wait to our sailing in March.

They may not know until the day before they arrive. I was on the previous Eclipse cruise and they did not tell us about the extended time in St. Kitts until the day before we arrived there.

Thanks for posting and glad to know everything is good. :) Only negative thing for me is the Movies on deck - one of the reasons we have chosen Celebrity for recent cruises was because they didn't have 'Movies under the stars' .:( Never mind, I'm sure we can find a quiet place on deck late at night which is much more our 'thing'. :)

See you on the 19th! One thing's for sure, this will be our first Caribbean cruise and we will have a great time anyway. :D

Ship tracker shows that the Eclipse is headed for St Lucia. What happened to Barbados? ...or are they just messed up????

Eclipse is in St. Lucia to-day, not Barbados as scheduled. Did they flip ports around? How does that play out with booked excursions?

We are on the March 5th voyage and looking forward to it.

What a refreshing thread. We have also enjoyed Eclipse's 14 day itinerary and are saddened to learn here that it's coming to and end. It sounds like the Blu experience is as great as we recently had on Equinox (October) and Reflection (last month). Enjoy the rest of your trip!

chamima,

I know this is a silly question, but we'll be on the Eclipse in about 3 weeks and my son is asking about what can be hooked up through the TV in the cabins. I know that there use to be a way to connect devices, so I told him that I would ask. If anyone else can help too it would appreciated. I think he's looking for HDMI or other hook ups.

Thank for your review. You are making us even more excited. I was hoping someone would post after reading WonderMan3, who just got off the Eclipse and YOU DID. Enjoy!!!!

Thank you again.

Those of you who have been on Eclipse in the past month in Aqua class, could you please tell me if they have diffusor in each cabin? Thank you.

What's a diffusor? I'm currently in Aqua on the Eclipse and might be able to answer if I understood the question.

A diffusor is like an air freshener. It is smelly oils in a flask type glass with little sticks in it. I find the smell offensive- like a bathroom spray or car freshener and always ask them to remove itl Love the Eclipse will be on here next January for two weeks.

I am looking forward to following this thread since the Eclipse will be our first cruise with Celebrity and will hopefully learn some interesting info about the ship. This will also be our longest cruise do date, so it will be a good test for the longer cruises we hope to do in the future.

A couple of questions though ...

1 - What is the Blu restaurant I have seen mentioned, can anyone go or is it restricted to certain cabin classes?

2 - Has anyone stayed below the casino, if so was it loud (cabin near the front of the ship).

3 - The Celebrity site says the cabin stewards come in twice a day to care for the room. What do they do each time?

1.Blu is for AQ only. However suite guests can also dine in blu-subject to availability. Suite guest have a special only suite restaurant called Luminae.2. Never stayed below casino. However rule of thumb for a good cabin is cabins above and below- So you might hear noise until the wee hours- but somebody who has stayed in those cabins can better respond.

3. The cabin stewards come in the morning- usually between 8-12- but most often will work with your schedule. In addition they come to freshen your room and turn down service around 6 PM until 9:00PM They typically arrange to come when you are having dinner.

Enjoy

We are having a fabulous time also. We've been in Blu more times than usual and it's been great, especially with Augung being our waiter. He's fabulous.

We were on the Eclipse last February with Augung and we looked forward to seeing him every evening! The Sommeliers in Blu were great too!

Enjoy!

We were on Eclipse on January 22 with 4 others and the experience in Blu was great. Fahtih was extraordinary and our waiter ZaZa was the best. Jasna was our Sommelier and she did a fantastic job of getting us wines we loved to drink. Just loved the experience of going to dinner because of them. ZaZa and Fatih even checked in with us while we ate in the specialty restaurants to make sure our experience there was top notch. Could not ask for better.
