Painter Posted February 25, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2017 First time booking for RC. Can you please tell me about how much money the laundry machines take to do a wash. Australian cruise ... is it USA dollars? Thanks.

Paulxyz2004 Posted February 25, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 25, 2017 No Need to worry about currency for laundry machines. It´s quite simple as there are None. RCI fortunately decided to not waste any precious cabin space with laundry rooms.:)

gerif Posted February 25, 2017 #7 Share Posted February 25, 2017 Nah - I'm on vacation. Not cooking, cleaning or doing laundry.
JoyMouse Posted February 25, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 25, 2017 OP, Royal will wash a smaller bag of underwear, t-shirts, shorts once in a 7-day cruise for ~$35USD. They also have washing, pressing, and dry-cleaning by piece for prices comparable to US land prices (your neighborhood dry cleaners not a hotel). Also, the all purpose liquid soaps in the shower works well for hand washing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
davekathy Posted February 25, 2017 #9 Share Posted February 25, 2017 Nah - I'm on vacation. Not cooking, cleaning or doing laundry. Agree. Even when we cruise with Princess we don't use the laundromat. (n)

davekathy Posted February 26, 2017 #14 Share Posted February 26, 2017 Not even to quickly press something  Not even. We've never had anything that wrinkled that a little spray of downy wrinkle releaser hasn't taken care of.

PhoenixCruiser Posted February 26, 2017 #17 Share Posted February 26, 2017 Not even to quickly press something  No for us as well. I don't think I have used an iron in the past 10 years and have absolutely no desire to do so while on vacation.
davekathy Posted February 26, 2017 #18 Share Posted February 26, 2017 (edited) You're right, you don't have to justify it. I'm just trying to figure out why you posted it. Really not that difficult to figure out. I wasn't responding to the OP. I was agreeing with gerif. Edited February 26, 2017 by davekathy
Ashland Posted February 26, 2017 #19 Share Posted February 26, 2017 No for us as well. I don't think I have used an iron in the past 10 years and have absolutely no desire to do so while on vacation. I don't need to press anything at home either...but my clothes haven't been in a suitcase. Even though I didn't need to launder/press anything on my one and only PCL cruise...I for one was impressed with that laundry option....and was almost sorry I didn't have anything...After years of cruising with RCI this option was a novelty ;)
