Since the kids school at home they do not have cell phones except a shared one whenever they go someplace without me. My son was on a week trip to a Philadelphia with his Aunt so he had the phone with him and was not back before Lydia and I left for this trip. That means Lydia has no phone, and while many of you would be fine with letting your kids and teens run free on the ship, I sadly am not so trusting of all these other passengers and employees. So, Lydia is now in her meet m greet and I will relax right outside that room until she's ready to call it a night. Once she is more comfortable or meets a friend on board she will have more freedom but for tonight I will stay close. A little chilly now that the sun has gone down. They are playing SING on the poolside theatre. I enjoy having quiet time to catch up on review and chatting back home. Sister went off shopping after dinner have not seen her since. :)

I did get another great smile out of Lydia. In Orlando yesterday at a gift shop she picks out a laser pointer gift for herself and one for her brother. She gets back to the hotel and opens it to check out the 30 different laser pointer tips. One of the tips is the "middle finger" and she was laughing that it was her Uncle's pointer. Tonight we were playing chess and she always wins at chess and it is so frustrating, after she stole my queen I was so frustrated I said where's that laser pointer?! Lol she laughed and laughed.

Pictures of the Funtimes for today, I use the Hub App to look for activities. Lydia must be having fun as it's been 45 minutes and she's still in her club.

Lydia didn't make any new friends. :( so we went and got ice cream then walked around sports and pool deck. 10:00p we headed back to cabin to watch a movie in our room Lydia ordered a BLT for room service which arrived quickly and she said was very good. I'm going to read until I fall asleep so we can get up early and maybe play some basketball before it gets crowded.

I fell right to sleep while Lydia watched a movie in the room. Got up at 7:30am and walked up to sports deck to see if anyone was playing basketball. We were in luck the court is empty. Played a short game of ball then went down to Lido and got a lite breakfast. Now back in the room to shower and dress for the day. Hoping the rope course opens this morning, there is nothing in the activity schedule that impresses us. Sister is out exploring and waiting for a $10 sale.

She got to do the rope course. My sister did it with her first and they went on the "easy course" it was NOT easy, you really do need to have good upper body strength. Lydia went through the hard course and said it was easier.

We sailed her twice in 2016 - really enjoyed it.

Don't miss the deli made to order sandwiches.

Loved the live music in the Ocean Plaza after dinner - went most evenings.

Also back in the Havana Bar area there are "free" lunches too

Cuban Sandwiches at the Havana Bar

Italian with custom made pasta-salad- and bread

Oriental stir fry bowls where you choose the stuff and sauces

If the tables in the lido are full at breakfast and lunch you can bring your food back to the tables in the Havana Bar area - we always found one there - often by the window.

If the lines at Guy's are long when it opens - wait 30 minutes and it's quick. Get your drinks before you get in line for your food so your fries don't get cold while you get drinks.

ENJOY !!!

Got another smile today. We found my sister and all went to brunch. After Brunch Lydia and went to the arcade and played some games. She will not let me play in the casino, so I have money to lose. The arcade allows you to swipe your card and most games are $1 for one game and $3 for four games. You earn tickets that you can redeem for prizes that are in a vending machine type. All the tickets are saved to your sign and sail card. We both enjoyed playing in there. Spent maybe $20 and earned 700 tickets and she won a mine craft stuffed animal from the claw machine that made her so very happy.

Sister is at the Steakhouse demonstration and Lydia and I are relaxing until 1p when she wants to try out Circle C again.

Internet value plan works good on most of the ship but when I'm in my room on deck 1 it is not fast enough to upload pictures so I will post more photos in an hour when she's up in Circle C and I'm out on the deck lounging.

Sea Day means the ship is very busy. Lydia went to a Circle C activity from 1 to 1:30 then we went to lunch in the Havana Bar are where there is Italian and the Asian Wok which is what we love. At 2p Lydia wanted to go back up to the Circle C so she went up there while I finished lunch and chatted with my sister. I thought I would have 30 minutes to run to the casino and win a few hundred but I lost and didnt win anything. Had better luck in the arcade. Ship is really crowded so we decided to go back to room to nap and she watched movie. We all decided we are not in the mood to get all gussied up for formal dinner so we will just find another casual option. We are back up on sports deck for the rope course one more time. Motown Show tonight at 7p and I want good seats so we are just going to hang out until then. Cannot get photos to post right now.

Internet is still slower. Wish I could share more pictures. We watched Motown show last night and then went back to cabin to read before sleeping. Lydia and I live on a farm so it's hard staying up for these late night activities. Habit to wake up at 4:30am. The cabin walls are thin, so if you're cruising soon be sure to use quiet voices in the hall at 2:30A when you and your girl friends are heading back to your cabin. Up and ready to enjoy half moon cay. Maybe I will be able to post more picture when I'm up on a higher deck.

Tendering this morning. Waiting for Tender to fill up. Tender stickers are given away at 7a. We were there by 720 and got zone 2. We casually waited near our room on deck 1 and they called zones 1,2 and 3 so on the first tender we go :)

Future sunshine cruisers you should have a game where you try to count every time Cruise Director Emma says "lovelies". She is darling but it is funny that she says Lovelies at least 20 times a day. We bumped into her in the hall way and she says excuse me lovelies.
