Another name for the Welcome Back party, except for Platinum and above.

I think on Allure it was first day at 10:45am. Not into drinking at that hour - was barely out of bed so did not go. From experience they will give you a drink, have some speeches from senior officers, recognition of most frequent cruisers (always someone with 300 plus cruises). Was fun the first couple times so you should go.

On the Allure it is in the Aqua Theater and it's nice. Since it's your first, you should definitely go, IMO.

Quite often there will be a question & answer period where you can ask the Captain and/or Cruise Director questions about why Royal Caribbean does some of the things they do and what their future plans are.

They are welcome back party's in one of the lounges where they bring around free drinks and canapes and you get to meet senior members of staff usually the captain who makes a speech.

There are opportunities to dance to live music in the lounge as well.

As new cruises to RC it is an event you don't want to miss.

The event is typically about 45 minutes long, and seems to be set up a bit different on each ship. Nice thing to do while at sea and always find some interesting information.

 

The original welcome back party for Gold members and above seems to be history, so enjoy your new upper tier

It didn't - the welcome back party is gone (open to everyone gold and above) - the party discussed here is the Top Tier party which was a second event.

I enjoyed it. All the top officers greeted us and the captain held a little speech. The cruise Director recognized the top members onboard. But the best part was free drinks :). A lot of them ;)

Last cruise they invited us said it was formal dress. Was a bummer and wasn't even on a dress night. Speeches. Introduced couple with most points. Waste of time.

W just returned from the Anthem. The loyalty Ambassador phoned me to make sure we would be attending. I told her that we never go to the event. She said you must come we have reserved sets for you. So we went. We were called up to receive a bottle of champagne and a certificate. We had the most points on that sailing. We also received a photo they took of us with the officers.

I like the way Anthem does their recognition. I received my 420 point block in the spring. The loyalty ambassador had those being recognized meet him in the diamond lounge and then escorted us to the reserved seating. No champagne for us but the picture with the officers was very nice. Katherine

There were only 4 drinks offered, none of which were to my taste so I asked for Amaretto on the rocks. The waiter said he would have to ask his supervisor but he came back with it. Never hurts to ask nicely. Captain Marek even sang a song. He was pretty good. We always go just for something to do.

Captain Marek is one of our favorites. I wish VIsion was still sailing from Tampa in the winter.
