Jaglady10 Posted September 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 4, 2017 We're looking for a cruise with stop in Cabo - thinking about Ruby 7 day out of LA or Grand 10 day out of San Fran. But concerned about San Fran. How warm will it be the first few days - warm enough to sunbathe on deck? Thanks for any info!
pris993 Posted September 4, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2017 Will not be warm enough on either cruise til til you get to your first Mexican port... while at sea enroute still on the cooler side even off the coast of Mexico. Temperatures in Mexico at that time of year generally in 75. 80+ degree range, low humidiity... very pleasant. We go out of San Francisco all the time... going on January 2 again. The Grand does have a small pool in the gym area that protected from wind... the aft pool is another nice area we use .
Yosef42 Posted September 4, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 4, 2017 Plus, there's a chance of rain that time of year. (If we're lucky.) That said, there are lots of options besides sunbathing.
Rare 4cats4me Posted September 4, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 4, 2017 If you take the cruise from the Bay Area, it will be very chilly. If you depart from the port of San Pedro, you might be able to sunbathe depending on what temps you're used to. We used to cruise frequently out of San Pedro during February, and we noticed quite a few bathers out there by day two. We Californians were too chilly to lay out in our bathing suits, but those who are from colder climates seem to tolerate the Feb temps quite well
elliair Posted September 4, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 4, 2017 It will be too cold to sun bathe out of San Francisco in February. You'll be wearing a sweat shirt or a jacket until you reach the Santa Barbara area then it starts to warm up some. Once you reach farther south, you'll be able to sun bathe.
