I don't flaunt my C&A Status

Recommended Posts

Your comment makes no sense at all. An oponion on status applies to all cruise lines. It has become a game that needs fixing.

OK...my bad...you are unhappy. Sorry about that.

I am happy and enjoy the value I receive with Royal's loyalty program.

To each their own, can't make everyone happy.

When I am unhappy with a restaurant or a store I frequent...I simply don't frequent that establishment any longer. ;)

Totally agree. Those "perks" save us a lot of money! Being loyal to Royal for us has worked very well. :)

That's right, the D, D+ & P "perks" like access to lounges with breakfast and happy hour drinks/snacks simply blow away the competition. No other cruise line in this price range has anything close to our perks.

We like sailing other lines, even freighters, but when we're not on RCI, we miss these perks and are always happy to be back.

Totally agree. Have sailed on many different lines, but don't find their loyalty program any where close to Royal. We rarely ever have anything charged to our sea pass account any longer. Getting off of MJ yesterday we saw multi page bills attached to the doors that last morning and remember when we had those before the perks kicked in. Saves a lot of money. :)

I AM NOT YELLING. Merely use caps to get attention of OP.

You appear to have many opinions and comments and so I do.

This thread has taken many twists and turns. I find those who like perks to actually be the most opinionated ones

merely thinking what else OP could find to stir up folks.

I AM A DIAMOND OK. The word perks is odd to me. Keep the water down alcohol and water bottles in room. I would rather get good rates on future cruises.

If you are Diamond i am surprised at your attitude.I get a good rate and get D+ balcony discount too.

The wine bottles are opened in front of us so they are not watered down but you could always get cans of beer.

TO THE OP ON THIS THREAD could you find another topic to stir up the natives please

cause this one was a doozy boy.

Good question from the op interpreted in different ways.

RC priced some cruises right for you if you continued booking with them and are now Diamond.

One more time folks. Status or points should be about money not all the things they toss your way while on the cruise. Not everyone drinks, gamles, or cares about feel good seats.

So done with tbis thread as many folks got stirred up. In a subtle way most of you do flaunt status.

RC is always our first choice.

Yes you are. Per CC Guidelines..."ALL CAPS. Typing in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS is considering shouting by many, so please double check your caps lock key before posting". Why keep posting to a thread that upsets you so badly? I just move on.

No need to stir anything up.

RC offer a great loyalty scheme and thats why there are so many Diamond and above members.

It is not about flaunting status it is about getting Freeeee drinks.

The only person being stirred up is yourself.

We are all enjoying our Free drinks.

There is an old Scot's saying "we are all Jock Tamson's Bairns" which means we are all equal. Who cares if you have cruised more than anyone else or if you sail in an inside or a suite. How individuals decide to spend their money is up to them but it does not make them better than anyone else if they achieved a higher status. There is also another saying 'there are no pockets in a shroud".

Agree and I believe most cruisers no matter their tier level status will agree. We have never been around anyone on a ship that has thought it was important enough to "flaunt their status" or the type of cabin they are staying in. When (not always) we go to the DL our conversations are centered around where the cruisers we're talking with are from.

That tends to be our experience too.

We stayed with RC because we liked the ships, the itineraries and the thought of getting into the DL for the free drinks.

The thought of lording it over people has never been a motivation for us to move up the loyalty scale.

Graham... the Casino Rates are much better than any C&A rates available to us.
