seadog67 Posted October 24, 2017 Author #176 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Thank you for all you info :) I have a question if you have the answer that would be wonderful. We are cruising as you are coming off. Was it possible to drop off your coat and backpack in the cabin, even it the cabin was not ready ? If not, when were the cabins ready ? Thank you again Thanks glad it is enjoyable! We were late boarding so the rooms were ready when we boarded. However I know NCL generally does not close the hallway fire-doors to keep you out of the rooms until the announcement like Royal seems to do. So you maybe able to drop things off, but keep in mind if the cabin steward is still cleaning they prop the cabin doors open so anyone may wander by can go in, not that ghey would just something to keep in mind, but you should be ok. seadog67 Posted October 24, 2017 Author #177 Share Posted October 24, 2017 I'm following your great review. Thanks for posting! Breakaway is my favorite ship and I'm back in December. This thread is just what I need to get me even more anxious to get back on board. Congrats on the luck in the casino! I love the aft cabins and agree there was something that looked a little bit off in the picture of the wake that you posted. Probably a prop issue that will be dealt with when she goes in for the refurbishment next year, if not sooner. Your pictures really are tremendous. I have been on the ship many times, but never really stopped to look at those plaques next to the Waterfront...but I'm going to look at them in November. Somebody earlier in the thread asked about the ice cream in O'Sheehan's. It's my weakness. The Hot Fudge Sundae is ridiculous! It comes loaded with darn near anything they can think to put in it, including gummy bears! IMO its a must try! Enjoy the rest of the cruise! Thanks! The O’Sheehan’s Sundae is on our to do list, hopefully sometime this week! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
seadog67 Posted October 24, 2017 Author #178 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Just wandered the decks while we wait to arrive at PC Weather is improving, I take back my earlier criticism of Florida’s weather :) Rope Course Mrs. Seadog always threatens to make me walk the plank without a harness... Rare mking8288 Posted October 24, 2017 #181 Share Posted October 24, 2017 (edited) SD67, what is your game plan for this afternoon ... weather is improving at PC, right. Checking on ship's webcam, looks like BA is most definitely docking late @ 15 knots - posted AIS data is off, could be another 30 to 45+ minutes to get into that channel, turn & dock at the terminal, before shoes on solid pavement for those in a hurry already, to do 1/2 day at the theme parks or whatever. Doesn't look good at all, what a bummer for those with hopes & disappointment for kids & their parents on the ship now By now, you should have a working cellular signal, data might be somewhat marginal but voice & SMS/texting were fine for us when we got this close to PC. Shanghai’s as empty as you will see it.. probably because it is closed at the moment ... Upload image is just fine, I see that my favorite there, spciy Seafood Udon Soup is still on the menu and it is popular - location is perfect with all the actions going on behind those dining tables (nice hit on that Royal Flush, BTW - bummer with the #1099) Edited October 24, 2017 by mking8288

Just pulling into the channel now. Our plans are to take a pontoon boat ride on the banana river. Assume it is still a go as it was to depart at 1:15, we will see. Yes we are now on cell services as well! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Enjoy and thanks Welcome to a new Cruiser! You are going to have a blast. It is understandable to be apprehensive but I think you will find nothing to worry about. Just common sense as with any travel and you will be fine. There is plenty of opportunity to meet and mingle with others and also to have complete alone time in many places. Have fun! seadog67 Posted October 24, 2017 Author #199 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Fact we learned about Pelicans, their life expectancy is shorter than one would expect as they continually dive for fish and usually into salt water which erodes their eyes over time, thus making them go blind early and not able to catch fish to survive. You will be tested on this on Friday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
