cb at sea Posted October 22, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 22, 2017 All the cruise lines charge a bundle for "everyday" goods...if possible, just bring what you need. If you aren't checking bags on the flight, then you may have to "suck it up" and buy what they offer....you can't possibly bring enough in a carry-on for more than a day's worth of sun! Nic6318 Posted October 22, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 22, 2017 Just wanted to know if NCL charges much for there sun screen . Thanks Sent from my SM-T350 using Forums mobile app Hi Welcome to Cruise Critic. Doesn't matter which cruise line. Bring your own. Prepare a small toiletries bag that would include anything you "might" need, and include a small first aid kit. That should include (depending on the person) things like band aids, polysporin, aspirin, etc... Something for an upset stomach, something for diarrhea, you know what you might need. Certainly if you will need something for motion sickness, bring it. Sure you can probably find things if you need, but if you have this small package made up, you just replace what needs to be replaced and you just take it on your next trip. There at a few things that never come out of my suitcase, this is one of them. hope this helps

Bonnie J. Posted October 22, 2017 #11 Share Posted October 22, 2017 You can't buy anything, except from all bars, on the ship when you're in a port. Nothing is open until you leave the port. Things are open at night after leaving port. So, bring it with you or buy it on the ship ,the 1st day at sea. Or, stay in the shade!
new_cruiser Posted October 22, 2017 #12 Share Posted October 22, 2017 I do carry-on only and bring 3oz tubes of sun screen in my 1 quart bag. Usually 2 tubes, but could fit 3 or 4 if doing a lot of beach time. Sent from my Pixel using Forums mobile app

CPT Trips Posted October 23, 2017 #14 Share Posted October 23, 2017 If you are willing to gamble, pull an 8 ounce bottle out of your carry-on and declare it to TSA as a medically necessary liquid ordered by your dermatologist to prevent a recurrence of your skin cancer.
