Question about email

I received an email from Princess titled "We hope this deal leaves you dazzled, Alicia." It did mention exclusive casino rates and had an offer for a 10 day Caribbean cruise- interior on the Royal for $199 per person. My husband did play in the casino and lost some $$ when we cruised in early November. I jokingly said that he should play more often so we receive emails like this.

Did anyone else receive this offer? If so, was it because you sailed recently and spent money in the casino?

Just curious...thanks!

I have read about these casino deals once in a while. I don’t play in the casino very much, so I have never received an offer myself. If I received an offer like the one you got I would jump on it.

Great deal, congratulations!

Thanks! Can't take the offer since it's during Christmas and we already have plans. I'm hoping to get these offers in the future though.

Yes, I've read about them in the past but never thought I'd get one. I don't have the courage to ask DH how much he actually lost in the casino.

I don’t think you have to lose a bunch of money to get one of these offers. It seems that just spending time gambling can do it, even if you wind up winning.

I agree. We've gotten these a few times and saved a lot of $$ on some past and even future cruises that we've booked. The inside cabins offer the biggest discounts (up to 35% off) and from there, the discount incrementally goes down with a suite only offering a 5% discount. Nonetheless, it is a discount and doesn't need to be booked directly through Princess. We do spend quite a bit of time in the casino but are nowhere near being high rollers. Funny thing is, we took some friends with us on a cruise once (their first cruise) and they spent very little time in the casino but probably threw a couple of twenties into the slots. They received the very same offer as we did. So, yes, you are right ... you do not have to gamble heavy ... just make sure you have your card inserted or registered (at the tables) whenever you do gamble.

We didn't get the offer you received but we did get one in October that we pounced on. That one has Caribbean sailings in November and December, some as low as $49 for inside. We are going next week and wound up in a category MB mini suite on the Regal for $299. I usually get the offers but my hubby got this one. He plays on the PokerPro machines on every cruise, I play slots.

$49 for an inside is a great deal! For many of these good deals the plane ticket would cost more than the actual cruise.

A friend had the casino offer. Didn't have to fly but drove 3 hours to FLL and paid parking for 7 days. He was sure glad with the offer.
