Musings on Mariner - A slow boat from China

Recommended Posts

John & LalaThanks for sharing all those photos. Always wanted to go on a Holy Land Cruise/Tour. However, I see I could not take my ECV on those tours, and I’m not able to walk without pain. Al could, but not me. Right now he’s training for Disney’s Marathon in January next year. He’s run marathon’s before and wants to do at least one in his 70’s. Tell Laura I recognized her Effy’s jewelry. Beautiful!Looking forward for more of your postings and photos.

Thanks Judu, tell Al we're rooting for him.

Walking in both Petra and Jerusalem was exhausting

Mmm...good wine John! We just had a bottle of Matua Sauvignon Blanc for our picnic lunch yesterday. That Pinot Noir is good also. :)

Nice to see the cheese and fruit plate still on the room service menu, we like ordering that as our choice for happy-tisers with in stateroom wine. I know Laura likes her chicken wings! :D

The person you’re referring to must be an obnoxious jerk to make you angry. You’re one of the most easy-going people I have ever known.Take care.

Someone forgot to take a picture of the room service apps.

But here's the aftermath.

3 types of quesadillas

3 types of chicken wings

2 orders of chicken fingers

2 orders of cookies

1 cheese and fruit plate

Place settings for 8

3 bottles of wine, we had a lot left over though

Also had some Greek olives from Chaniac4c63a85d14a401db18f17a55cb18339.jpgf6b9e383e2abc8315da89108b55d7b3d.jpg

Did I mention we've been playing rummy since we boarded the ship 26 days ago. I doubt we'll break 10,000 points. And yes, Laura is winning 9,240 - 8,470

Got another bottle of wine last night. Will be sharing it this afternoon with some friends. Beautiful day, but a little on the cool side

Also getting a room service sampler. Wings, quesadillas, etc.. One of the GS perks [emoji16][emoji6]08c8f71b1aafd28551b105537b311f60.jpg0687bcd6c66cc2de09531f50267a8dfd.jpg

Tag 1 seemed to be lost. Luggage situation may have been a bear listening to folks in the airport

Easy trip to airport, 39€ flat fare, 6€ tip.

Checked in to Air Canada, exchanged all my funny money for 50 euro, waiting at gate.4e651ebfa553875174ce338d44634b2b.jpg689cb3c8e99d9ff9030eaed2a9ca3276.jpg1b453a37ef9a221c38de114ed579c326.jpg8d97536e8f4972e8efb2e5fa7f89467f.jpgc89539620f01cb30bdeb6ee2affb0fbe.jpgd81fa41d0a519ddcc1fc6e3dee3c032d.jpg

Airport WiFi is free and fast. Picture uploads are easy peasy. It appears that Star Alliance does not have a lounge, and Concourse D doesn't have access to all the shops below us.

Our big bag was 23.7 kg. The fabulous check in girl let it go anyway.

The happy couple.
