Who do I notify with a complaint about the HOHO Tour in Miami?

We just returned last week from a wonderful cruise on the Equinox. The cruise was great, but it ended on a sour note. My group decided to take the HOHO bus tour in Miami instead of spending the day sitting in the airport. It was a big mistake!

It was poorly organized from the start, the bus was old & dilapidated, many of the ancient speaker/headphone systems were broken, so we couldn't hear any commentary...the list goes on & on. The tour was a huge disappointment! I would like to let Celebrity know that this tour is so far below their standards. I already commented about it on my post cruise survey, but would like to comment in more detail via "snail mail". Where do I send it?

Don't believe this is a HOHO but we took the open air bus tour after a X cruise a couple of years ago and it was really bad. There has been a recent thread about this also but it appears X just continues to offer this tour even though it receives very bad reviews.

We used the Miami HOHO system directly , not through a cruise line and it was just fine. Not a canned commentary as a few we’ve experienced but a good tour guide.

Just wanted to pass that on that the Miami HOHO was very good - had three different routes, and a harbor tour also.

For non-cruise line tours, HOHO is one of our prime ways of getting to initially know a city.

A question please as I am considering the same tour.

Did you actually hop off at any stage and reboard another bus? And if so, were they all in bad condition?

I have a day to fill in after arriving at Port Everglades and really want to see Miami having never been before. I have read really bad reviews of the Best of Miami tour where you stay on the one double decker bus, so was thinking the HOHO might be better and give us some control over our day. If both tours are really bad, I might reconsider.

We went on the post cruise Everglades Tour with airport drop off last March it was terrible too. We did this same tour (or so we thought) many years ago and loved the tour. This was a waist of time. Next time we will sit in the airport. Don’t substitute with this tour.

I'm not sure what cruise you are on, but if you are arriving at Port Everglades, you will be in Ft. Lauderdale. That's about 25-30 miles away from Miami. I would be very surprised if there are any single HOHO lines that go to both cities.

We did this excursion with last March as well with drop off in FLL and while it wasn't the best excursion we've ever had, the airboat was great! We have done them in the NP, Orlando and Naples and enjoyed them all but on this one we saw more wildlife than on any of the others!

Hi,

Celebrity are offering 3 Miami tours for the end of my cruise. A casino one, the best of Miami tour which stays on the same bus, and the HOHO..

All offer transfers from Port Everglades to Miami and then back to either FLL or MIA. It removes any worry about what to do with our bags for the day while waiting for our flights.

That must be new. On our past cruises, I have seen several excursions ending at the airport, but only in the same city as the port. But for those with late enough flights, it would be a good way to fill the day and mark an item off your bucket list.

But logically, I don't see how they can do it like the traditional HOHO. How can they ensure people who get off get back on in time? Hopefully, they provide enough details to make you comfortable with your choice.

I started a post about the Best of Miami tour last month as we had a shocking experience. Long and short of it we got dumped at the station in the heat and waited an hour to collect our luggage, the bus to the airport was full and no one was around to help us and a few other people left stranded. After another hour not knowing what was going to happen we were loaded into a cab. It was a horrible end to the cruise.

I phoned Celebrity the day I returned home to complain and was on the phone for an hour at premium rates which I wasn't informed about. I eventually got half the tour price refunded but the advisor wasn't the best so I emailed and after about 6 weeks recieved my telephone money refunded plus some future cruise vouchers.

We were on one of these tours after our Reflection cruise. We took it as we had a flight out of Miami at 3.30 (the brochure said it was suitable for flights after 3pm). The tour itself was fine we felt (a little bit disorganised getting on but you could live with it). Where it got really bad was at the end. We were brought to a downtown venue (about a 20 min drive to the airport), three busloads of folks lined up (in the heat) and told to wait for our bags to be unloaded from the back of a truck. It was utter chaos, people were going crazy (and rightly so) as bags were going missing and it was 1.45!! We grabbed our bags and took a cab as there was zero chance of us making our flight if we had waited for the transfer
