I bought a gift card at my local Fry’s (Kroger) when it was 4x fuel points and used it for my deposit. I paid $100 but will get $10 off my next gas fill-up from it.

 

Thinking of buying more but curious if there is anything you can’t use them for? Can you use it for settling your account at the end of the trip? Prepurchasing the drink package?

Yep, they can be used for just about everything. Paying down your balance, Cheers, internet plans, Fun Shop purchases, excursions, Cruise Cash, etc.

 

If you haven't looked into it already, check out the AARP threads on here. They sell Carnival gift cards ($100 and $500) at 10% off. You don't have to be a member of AARP (just sign up for a free Rewards for Good account). You earn points through email codes and/or taking some of their online quizzes, then cash those points in towards the discounted cards. Allstate has a similar rewards program and also sells the cards. You don't have to be an Allstate customer, but the sign-up process is a bit different.

We use gift cards to purchase our cruises and pay for everything. If you get 4X the fuel points, it is an incredible deal. We have a 35 gallon fill up limit so we always take two cars for fill up saving $1 per gallon. We save around $150 in fuel in one month.

I use them for everything. I buy them from AARP and send the card # and PIN to my TA and she pays my cruise through Carnival. I buy beer and water for the room and pay for excursions all with gift cards. Then I take a few with me for OBC and add them through the kiosk. ny OBC leftover, I cash out through the casino. 10% at a time adds up.

Frys has 4x fuel points right now on all travel gift cards through July 17. We decided to buy the Cheers Package. You can choose the amount on the gift card. So you think each person in our cabin could buy their own gift card then use all 3 to buy the 3 drinks package?

yes it just has to be done at the same time because when you purchase Cheers it adds everyone at the time of purchase so have them buy their giftcards then give them to one person to make the purchase

Do you buy (5) $100 cards? That could be why. Shipping for one card is 59 cents, and each additional card is an additional 59cents.

Maybe that is it the last time I bought them it was 5 $100 gift cards

Do you know when the next 4x fuel points will be? I should have bought our Carnival gift cards when it was 4x gas points but forgot. I plan to pay off the balance of the cruise with it -- $985.
