Captain Ivo replaced Captain Dan on 28 July.    We were onboard talking to Captain Dan and he said he was leaving when we were (yesterday) and Captain Ivo was coming back onboard.

He might be on Freedom as Captain Trym switched to Harmony. Or he is gone because of the accidents.

It's usually 10 weeks on 10 weeks off, however the 2 captains can work something out themselves. For instance Capt Faevelen likes 11/12 week rotations. It can be as short as 8 weeks but no longer than 14 weeks. Covid messed that up royally.

I have.  He is a new Capt. (promoted during the pandemic) and this is only his 2nd or 3rd cruise with passengers.   He is visible and approachable, but still a little stiff.  Time will fix this I am sure.  He didn't run into anything, so I've been happy.  😁

not quite correct. Capt Johan Grohaug has been an RCI master for a long long time. I had him on Radiance in 2010. I had Capt Nazar the beginning of March 2022. Capt Jim is a very personable hockey loving master. Capt Johan was stiff even back in 2010.

My bad.  I sure thought he had stated we was promoted during the pandemic.  Thanks for correcting me.  Capt. Jim is excellent.

Are you sure you are talking about the same person here, and that capt Ole-Johan Gronhaug are currently on Navigator? Ole-Johan and Johan are two different names. The post that mentions the current captain on Navigator does not say Ole-Johan, but Johan.
