Recent myVEGAS rewards users?

Recommended Posts

Hi!  Anyone use myVEGAS rewards recently?  I was looking at the terms and conditions today, and it appears they are now stricter on “stacking” the rewards...  it looks like I can only use 1 reward per sailing (I’d use the 10% off one).  Could my husband also use his for the OBC?  Or is it just 1 reward per booking, period?

thanks!

It's just 1 per booking. I used the 10% off for  January cruise and it applied easily. This is the e-mail that they sent me when it was applied:

Thank You for contacting Royal Caribbean Club Royale myVegas Reward Program.

I have applied the myVegas Reward 10% discount to your booking *******.  I have sent an updated invoice of the new pricing for your reservation. Remember, no other myVegas Reward can be applied to this reservation.  Only one reward per booking is allowed.

I’ve booked through cruise.com so does that mean that I can’t use MyVegas rewards for OBC?  Plus it says must be redeemed within 30 days of booking and that has just passed as well. Is there no hope or shall I try?

You should be able to still use them if you booked through an agent. The 30 day rule is definitely hard set though.

There is a possible workaround on the 30 day rule, repricing or changing to a higher category  stateroom will restart the 30 day clock.  A couple of weeks ago we changed our 9 month old reservation from interior to oceanview and a few days later got $100 of myVegas OBC added.

We are hoping that both of us can add myVegas OBC and will be trying later in the week.  We will report back when we find out.

I am happy to report that we were able to apply a second myVegas OBC (from the second person's myVegas account, of course) to our cabin.

We booked through a travel agent in July.  My husband and I were both able to add 100 OBC through My Vegas Slots.  We just redeemed through the app and then sent the requested info to the e-mail address provided.  It took between 3-5 days for the entire process.  The OBC is available as well before you board.  We used it yesterday to purchase beverage package.

I redeemed my "myvegas" rewards and submitted them, but they would not take them because I got a good rate from American Express when booking and they said I couldn't double dip!  I tried all the options and rewards and they would not accept any of them.  Not happy with this at all since they told me to submit them after booking to be applied then they changed their answer when they saw I had the "friends and family" rate from AMEX.  By the way, I am not friend or family....it's just a rate they offer!  Disappointed.

Last week Norwegian was offering "free" 7 night cruises for 600k points. They sold out fast. Royal needs to bring back the $250 obc offer.

Doing b2b on Getaway in December as both me and DW redeemed points. Just had to pay port charges and taxes plus $140 pp service fee.

Ok, I need some tutoring! 😂 I am not really up on FB since I have generally avoided it (partly because I didn’t have the time and partly because with the work I do makes it an unwise choice for me). But I like using the Casinos on the ships (more Craps and Video Poker) and LOVE a discount! I recently learned about MyVEGAS from MGM (connected to RCL) and a similar program from Caesar’s (connected to NCL, the second cruise line we use most frequently).  Would like to learn more about both.

My understanding from what I have been able to research the last few days is that it’s not worth what it was orginally and also that there are less points / rewards available for mobile devices as compared to a PC. So I am trying to determine if this is worth the effort since am on a mobile device (and one without Flash) 99.5% of the time and would rarely be in FB (although I could get an account).  Also, while I realize “total rewards” with Caesar’s has some games in FB, I don’t beleive that they have any app-based games.

thanks!

Lynn

Been playing MYVEGAS for 5 years. Have taken many trips to Vegas using rewards and going on my 4th free cruise from them next month. The rewards offered are the same on mobile and pc no difference. Over the years the program has gone downhill thats for sure. Its all about buying chips now. Everyone used to be able to see all the rewards, now you can only see certain rewards if you have bought chips. Unless you have lots of time and patience to play the games and SLOWLY accumulate the gold coins needed to purchase rewards its really not worth it to start playing now IMO.

MyVegas currently has four mobile app based games: MyVegas Mobile, Blackjack, Pop Slots and My Konami. IMO, It doesn't take very long at all to earn at least enough points for $50 in OBC. In addition to Royal Caribbean, they have MSC rewards on a regular basis. Carnival and NCL pop in there every once in a while. In the last few years, I've used points for a free cruise on Allure, and a recent Carnival cruise. I just redeemed another $100 OBC for an upcoming cruise as well.

Thanks so much for that info. I don’t know whether or not I can keep up the schedule of logging in and doing it as frequently as I would need to, but at least I know about it now and will definitely take a stab at it! I wish they had video poker and craps (or at least roulette LOL), now those I would really enjoy! ♠️♣️♥️♦️
