Do you know for a fact the OP wasn't disrespectful themselves, for all we know is the OP's side. There are 2 sides to every story. I'm guessing the "truth" is somewhere in between and probably not as bad as stated. There is a thread going on Florida Departure boards about an incident with a hotel. The OP said the desk clerk was disrespectful. They got bumped from hotel because of overbooking. ( Booked through a 3rd party) They weren't happy about it so their "tone" of voice more than likely was very nice either. Treat someone with respect and you get treated the same, become agitated with someone , they will more than likely do the same. You obviously did not read my post. I said we all have bad days, including me. The difference is that I learned, from a very early age, (worked at Burger King at 15), no matter how bad you day is you treat your customers with kindness and respect. I obviously don't know who was rude to who, but I assume she would not complain if she didn't feel like he was being rude to her. Have you ever worked in the service industry? It's my job, as a person working with customers, to make them happy so they want to come back. Even the day my brother passed away, I still treated my customers with kindness. I was a manager at a grocery store. Before I could leave to be with my family I had to wait for a manager to replace me. The other guy, who I responded to in this post, said that the guy had a right to be rude because he is probably paid a minimum wage. I argued that doesn't matter, if you work that kind of job, you still need to treat the customer with kindness and respect. Don't you agree with that?? Or do you think it's ok to be rude to people if you get paid a low wage?
Sam Ting Posted November 27, 2018 #28 Share Posted November 27, 2018 Good. They get what they deserve. Apparently they lost a sale. What do they expect to get when the pay is so low? maybe if they treated their employees with a little more respect...money...they would be more engaged. And yes I was in the “service Industry “ for 38 years before retiring. As as far as low wage I NEVER mentioned it or agreed to it. No need to assume otherwise

Not all available staterooms are shown online. If there is a specific one that you want and need to know if it is available, a call would have to be made.

And guess how I found my NCL PCC? It was a cold call to NCL. I got really lucky. She has worked directly with NCL for 15 years. Now I only book with her. If she does not answer the phone, I email her and she responds back. I too had a miserable experience with a cold call to NCL. Once you find a good one who makes it their career, hold on to them. I agree. It took me a while to find my PCC but now I have been with her for years and she has never let me down. I found her through the recommendation of a friend I made through our roll call. She is very available and always answers all of my questions. Good luck to OP.

Of course it doesn't matter but I think the point some are making is: there are jobs where people do not care than much and min salaried jobs often attract those who do not want to work too hard. The ones that are good will move up fast. All one has to do is remember the economy is good right now and jobs are easy to find So good employees will get jobs that pay better. Many companies are begging just for someone to fill the seat.
eddeb Posted November 30, 2018 #34 Share Posted November 30, 2018 Much ado about nothing. What an evil web we weave, when we practice to deceive. Life is like a box of chocolates , you never know what crazy people post about nothing everyday.
